Poor visibility with Grey themes..... Any others have similar issues
I have a 42mm ROO grey themes titanium on a bracelet. First of all I have to say that I love the watch and it looks amazing in person. That said, it's a little annoying that the minute it gets a little dim it becomes very difficult to tell the time. When you have an almost 30k watch and you have to take your phone out to tell the time it becomes a real pain.Actually thinking about trading it in for the 44mm ROO stainless and ceramic. Curious if any others have had similar issues. Thanks
My new waffle dial
Just got this in the mail from KyleL the other day. I've been seeking out a black waffle for a while but they are not so easy to come by. This is the first vintage omega i have bought to keep and I am very happy with it
Well After Various Changes Of Direction......Still A New Patek!
Just a recap several weeks back i was offered a real nice Patek 5960 but to step up to the plate the Daytona had to go but with sellers remorse setting in before i'd given sold it, deep breath and let it go, but you now how it is once your're in new watch mode its only time!, so attempting sensibility my thoughts ran KEEP! the WG Daytona i honestly don't think you'd get a more unique dial and i love the fraction formations on mine and the smaller onyx 3-6-9 indices more in line with the other subtle markings rather than on the newer premium dials with the larger SQUARE markers IMHO. so i'm now looking at something in SS [and cheap being a relative term] as a daily wearer yes rolex make many with a few nice ones to come, maybe i'll regret it but at this time rolex leaves me sort of ho-hum! bored nor excited!, so to the forefront rose AP and Patek i'd all but picked up a RO 15300 when a offshore was offered by a unsolicitated PM after making enquiring post on AP in general on the forums,
Can anyone identify this watch? I'm stumped!
Hello all. It's been a while since I posted last. Long story short I met with the son of a collector who has had these watches passed to him. Some really cool pieces. Patel, vacheron, zenith and Tons of Rolex including one I have never seen before! It looks like a Paneri? Can anyone advise what this thing is? I have no reason to believe it's not real as the rest of the collection was 100% solid. The back was a clear case back and had Rolex written all over it. Can anyone give me info or I.D it for me? I have my eye on another piece but my friend wants that one if it checks out and the price is right. Only thing to add is the collector lives in Hong Kong and the watch is definitely older. Thanks in advance guys!
How long did you wait to purchase your first Rolex?
I'm curious... after deciding on the exact watch you wanted, how long did you wait until you purchased it? Did you already have the money set aside or did your savings begin at that point? Was it for a special occasion or just because?I'll start:1) By the time I take possession of my watch, it will be about 2 1/2 years from the time I first decided I had to have it until the time that I'm wearing it. 2) I didn't have the money set aside and started a special savings fund for it once I decided on the model I wanted (my avatar - 178341 chocolate dial with scattered diamond bezel and oyster bracelet).3) Long story short, my 43rd birthday has very special significance and I'm gifting it to myself for that occasion (this November).
