Hublot Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour
Hublot has introduced a new limited-edition watch for high-stakes poker players, the Hublot Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour. The watch adapts the Big Bang case with accents on the bezel for card players. Inside, it has Hublot’s manufacture column-wheel chronograph movement.? The Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour is 45.5 mm in diameter. It comes in two versions: one in stainless steel (shown here) and one in Hublot’s special 18-karat gold alloy with a higher-than-normal platinum content, known as “King Gold” (see below). Some sections of the case are polished while others are microblasted. This combination of finishes allows for the special design of the bezel. A spade, club, heart and diamond ornament its cardinal points.Through the skeletonized dial, one can see the inner workings of the Unico caliber. 70's Retro Done Well: Louis Vuitton Tambour Diver Watch
It is easy to find the style of the 1970s unappealing. Despite the fact that it is "coming back," (from what I hear) it was an era of too many browns, too much synthetics, and too much hair. One thing however that the 1970s encouraged was large size. Big hair, big cars, big pants, and big watches. Especially the diving watches. While many of these things are coming back, so are big watches. 40mm cases are now considered small or average, and most watches, which matter, are approaching 44mm or even 50mm (and larger). The Louis Vuitton Tambour Diver takes large size, with its 70's browns, and is able to present a very pleasing ,aesthetic highly reminiscent watch with a 70s modern design. The first thing I noticed when I saw the case of the watch was its tapered look. The bottom of the case (close to your wrist) is wider than the top. It almost looks like a volcano sitting on your hand. The circular curve of the bezel and the rounded edges of the case are complimented by very angular featu
Question about Schumi Ti grey strap vs 44mm black strap
Just tried on a titanium Schumi and noticed that the grey rubber strap is extremely soft and pliable... Compared to the black rubber on my diver or the one on my SS 44mm ROO this grey strap is way softer. The black rubbers are actually a bit stiff. Anyone else noticed this???
Patek Salon in Geneva
I will be having a holiday in Geneva end July. I am wondering if this boutique is worth a visit. This is one of the three exclusive Patek boutiques in the world run directly by Patek themselves. How is the service there and do they have a more complete range for browsing compared to the usual PP ADs? Is prior appointment required or I can just walk in? If you have been there before, please share your experience. Thanks.
A few serious questions!
Hi guys,Since the BLNR is now discontinued I'm thinking about buying a DaytonaC. I showed up with $12,400 in cash and demanded my AD sell me one. I was really ticked off to hear that he didn't have one for me. To make things worse he went as far as to say there is a list! I thought he would want a new customer! So now I'm thinking about maybe the Hulk. But I'm just not sure, Is it a good investment? Will it be worth more than the PepsiC in 7.4 years? Speaking of the PepsiC what's with that color? I thought Rolex was going to make the exact same watch as the 16710 just with a ceramic bezel?? And a jubilee? That's for old geezers. My AD said I could be 15th on the list for the Pepsi if I want though. How long will that take for me to get it? Will there be a price increase between now and then? What if I pre-pay? Speaking of paying, how much of a discount should I expect? Man, all the flippers have really made it hard to buy anything. And don't even get me started on gray dealers! How dar
