Scroll down for highlights from the issue? In the cover feature, A Sleeker Speedy, Jens Koch tests the recently re-released Omega Speedmaster Mark II, a more streamlined version of the Speedmaster that landed on the moon in 1969. Koch’s hands-on analysis provides all the pros and cons of this retro-styled timepiece, and Nik Sch?lzel provides original photos of the watch and its movement. Classic stainless steel Omega special Hour Vision Blue wristwatch
The Watch has a classic stainless steel case 41 mm and a Sapphire Crystal box. His is equipped with calibre coaxial Omega 8500 and a gold 18 carats of speckles hands hours, minutes and seconds which is covered with white Super-LumiNova. Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz
Hello all,On checking the forum I can honestly say how impressed I am with the feedback to date.I have just been given an Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz (mens).I believe the watch is from 1980s. I can honestly say I know little about it except it is a two tone 18k gold plated/steel watch with a gold face with dots as hour markers and date. Two things, the watch has what appears to be a slight nick nearby the crown on the case nearby the 3 o'clock marker. Can the stainless steel case be fixed or is this normal ?Also, the luminous minute hand has slight discolouration compared to the hour hand. Can this also be resolve ?I live in Scotland, if so could anyone recommend a good repair shop.Does anyone have a rough value for one in good condition for the age.I can find very little information and have no paperwork.Even the omega website has very little to go on.Thank you for any help and assistance, it will be most gratefully received.PS I can upload a photo if required. Just ask.
