Moving On An Upward Spiral With Angular Momentum's Enameled Crystal Time Spiral Watch
When art and watch presentation intersect, it is easy to go overboard with too much. This is why I am happy to see the AXIS/XXVII Time Spiral - Ref. 6270 from Angular Momentum. They've taken the spiral design, and ingeniously integrated it into the watch face. You'll notice this is no mere spiral painted on a watch, but the actual numbers and layout are integrated into the design, which is still perfectly legible as a watch.The design is reverse painted on the sapphire crystal. This technique is often called eglomise, and has been well utilized by Angular Momentum for sometime on a number of watches. This watch does something a bit differently, in that it uses black enamel on the inside of the thick 3mm crystal. The effect is a smooth yet very crisp look that wont ever rub off, because it is applied on the inside of the watch. Any Aquanaut 5167A owners in Charlotte, NC?
I have been eyeing an Aquanaut for a few years now and I would love to see one in the flesh. The local AD has a rose gold model in the case, but of course it's not the same as the steel version. I've worked on my collection over the years and have expanded into the world of Rolex and AP and I think PP should be next. Contemplating flipping my BLNR which doesn't get much wrist time towards the 5167. If there are any fellow WIS in the area with one, beers are on me.

WG Pepsi
Firstly GMT hand has been corrected on the website and now shows RED. On Basel morning, it showed white on the site which was an error as display models all had Red GMT hand.Secondly - why did they not upgrade it with new movement 3285 and still has 3186 movement? You can't carry basically same watch in WG and SS and WG having older movement on the same catalogue. That is bad on Rolex's part. Movements are not made with WG. Even if they have huge pile of movements, they can still use them on BLNR and LN GMT models and not get wasted. They could have used 3285 on WG Pepsi. It a decision which doesn't need much thinking and you are not even wasting any movements/hands etc as that all can be used on older SS models until they phase out. Why do you think Rolex did this mistake?
