Halios Soon To Release Tropik & Delfin Dive Watches
Things are running hard and fast at Halios Watches, who recently teased designs for three upcoming models to be released in 2013. The new models span a smaller diver piece called the Tropik; its bronze-cased sibling the Tropik B; and a larger and more serious diver called the Delfin. This is a big step forward for Halios as they have often produced and launched only a single model at a time (the Laguna was their first watch to see non-limited edition production). These new models look really appealing and all seem to continue Halios' love for less-is-more dial aesthetics matched with practical sport watch design elements. The steel Tropik should be available this coming summer and features a 41mm stainless steel case, a ceramic unidirectional bezel and a domed sapphire crystal with internal AR treatment. Halios is describing the Tropik as their thinnest and dressiest watch to-date and this 300m diver certainly looks really good in the renders and the case prototype shown above. Timekeepi
Incoming.....and outgoing......
Picked this up Friday.Wore it Saturday, and realized the chrono stopped while I was grilling.Gave it a full 40 winds and it got to working again. I had the chrono and my Iphone stopwatch going side by side for hours. Worked fine so I deactivated the chrono.Later on in the day I check the time and it says 7:01..... it was 7:45.This morning it still says 7:01........I would return it, but it's near impossible picking up a 26405CE Blue. Me and the dealer have a great relationship, he offered a return immediately but I'd rather keep it. The CE model is low production so I wouldn't know when I would get one again. Never dealt with Clearwater, but I've heard great things and hoping all is well.
Lady RO / AD in London
Thinking of buying a piece for my fiance to match my diver and 15400. Went to the local AD and after trying on the RO 33mm and the 37mm, she much prefers the 33m as it fits her small wrist much better. But as a watch lover myself, I am quite bothered by the fact that the 33mm is not mechanical!! Have any of you guys gone thru the same dilemma? Can anyone kindly recommend a good AD in London as I will be coming over end of month from Hong Kong and I suspect pricing should be better in UK. Is there an AP boutique in Heathrow? Any idea whether they can offer discount?
