Slow Going: A Few Days Away From aBlogtoRead.com For The Holiday
The image pictured represents two things. First, the type of traffic environment I will be facing in Los Angeles, and second, that the next few days are going to be slow on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. I will be out of town, and thus pretty busy until December 2nd when I return. Its possible I might get to post one or two of the days I am gone, but I like to let you know when I might not be around. There are a few interesting watch reviews coming up that should be good reads, so some of the time spent away will be with the new acquisitions. LTake care, and happy Thanksgiving watch lovers!
The new Oris watch is coupled with a titanium metal bracelet, ending with a simple adjustable deployante.
The minute counter, glowing in the dark, displays the time spent under the water. The triangle at position 2 minutes symbolizes the time Carlos necessary to complete the race, which is 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The other triangle 7 minutes position reflects his personal record to hold the breath up to 7 minutes.
The animation functions is an automatic mechanical ETA 7750 chronograph with a red rotor movement. The new Oris watch is coupled with a titanium metal bracelet, ending with a simple adjustable deployante.
how many of you navitimer owners actually use the sliderule function?
just curious what people use the sliderule for.i'm drawn to the look of the navitimer and the long history of this line but wandering if people actually use the sliderule function for anything practical like sailing etc.
Buying pateks (no box no papers) good idea?
Hi all,So I have narrowed it down to either a 5726 white dial orThe 5712. The 5712 is from a very trustworthy dealer but it doesn't have box and papers. How important is it to have box and papers when purchasing a Patek?
Patek Nautilus 5711...finally pulled the trigger
Hi everyoneAfter a couple of months agonizing over whether to sell my AP RO 15400 and Daytona, I finally did and got the 5711.It was quite a long search, as no AD I called had them in stock, most had waiting times of up to 6 months and above. In the end I got in touch with a friend of mine who happened to know of someone who had one kept in his safe. After a few days of negotiating I finally got it and I couldn't be happier.Initial impressions:1. The 5711 is so easy on the wrist, compared to the AP 15400. Whereas the 15400 was on the heavy side, the 5711 feels so much lighter in comparison. I was constantly afraid of scratching the AP because it felt heavy on my wrist (of course this does not mean that the 5711 is less scratch prone). The 5711 feels much more ergonomic in this sense.2. The 5711's profile is quite thin, which I like very much. It makes the whole watch look classy.3. The dial is just superb. The blue changes at every angle. I can't quite describe it, but it is
