Jaeger-LeCoultre Climbers Scale Himalayan Peak
They made it! On October 28, the climbers reached the top. Stphane Schaffter, a Swiss alpinist, Lhakpa Tenzing Sherpa (known as Apa Sherpa) who has a record 19 Everest ascents under his belt, and Little Karim Balti, who has accompanied many sportsmen on expeditions above 8,000 meters, scaled the virgin peak, and as the first to the top, they named it Antoine LeCoultre's Peak. The mountain raises 6589 meters, or 21,617 feet above sea level. They were each wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece: a 1958 Geophysic Chronometer, a Master Compressor Extreme Lab, and a new and as yet undisclosed extreme creation prepared by the Manufacture workshops in the Valle de Joux. Their watches performed admirably in the challenging conditions. You can read more about the expedition at the Jaeger-LeCoultre website. Here are some images from the expedition:
25820 vs 26574
Can someone explain the key difference with respect to the technicals of the two perpetuals? - movements/functions. I understand the 39mm vs 41mm dial size difference but more interested to know if there is a different/better movement in the 26574
Anybody happen to see....
...Danny Willett's press conference from US Open earlier today? He was wearing a white 44mm ROO with blue dial on blue strap! I'll see if I can figure out how to do a screen...but does anybody know what this piece is?!Here's the link to the video on Golf Channel:.golfchannel/news/golf...ont-great-fun/

SD43 vs 16710
I have a SD43. I like it, but i am drawn to the 16710 I used to own one but sold it. I now have the chanse of getting another 16710 for the SD43 with around 3000 Euros my way. The GMT is with certificate and in an almost unpolished condition. Looking at SD43 shortage discussions, red letters going away and price increases - would you do it? I would like the gmt more but I dont want to do anything stupid...
