SWATCH Lookseasy
Whether it's in or on a watch, art isn't just for the watchmaking elite as proven by Swatch with this model designed by Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos for the Biennale di Venezia (56th international art exhibition). The dial on the numbered limited edition Lookseasy (999 available) is adorned by gilded arabesques. Joana Vasconcelos used filigree, an age-old goldsmithery technique, to create an Oriental floral design on the original model which was then used by artisans to make the rest of the pieces. Three gold baton-shape hands lie discreetly on the metal lace whose PVD-coated gold wires are delicately welded together. The hands track the hours, minutes and seconds brought to life by a quartz movement inside the glossy black plastic 41mm case. AP SS Diver or Rolex RG Chocolate Daytona
The time has come to make another addition to the collection and I'm torn between these two admittedly different-styled models:I currently own the following:Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400 SS Silver DialJLC Master Control DateRolex Sea-DwellerPanerai 111As I don't have a rose gold in the collection as yet, the RG Daytona seems to be the obvious choice but the SS AP Diver still has this strong allure that keeps on bringing me back to consider it.Your opinions and/or ideas would be much appreciated! Strap issue with 5119
Hi all,I have a rather silly question regarding a potential 5119 purchase.I tried on the RG 5119 the other day but due to my freakishly thin wrist, the watch does not fit even on the smallest strap setting.So my question is what is the likelihood that the AD would provide me with a smaller strap in place of the one that came with the watch without additional cost? Or should I just put up with the non-fitting strap and just buy another leather strap like Hirsch post purchase?thanks.
