De Bethune DB29 Maxichrono Tourbillon Watch With Central Chronograph
Since its establishment in 2002, the Swiss independent?De Bethune?has aspired to set itself?apart from the rest by masterfully balancing on the verge of traditional watchmaking and innovative design and engineering. That is something beautifully proven by their DB25LT Tourbillon or the DB28 Digitale?and so it is of little surprise that their latest model which they just announced at Baselworld 2014 is another bridge between the two controversial sides of watchmaking: traditional design elements and high-tech features. The DB29 Maxichrono Tourbillon combines both, but how it achieves that becomes obvious only after a closer look under its hoodC or dial, rather. Its name gives no room for misunderstandings: the DB29 Maxichrono Tourbillon packs an in-house chronograph movement and couples it with one of the most high-tech tourbillons that we have seen in a while. The caliber insideCtitled DB2039Cis the result of seven years of research and development, which is, make no mistake, an extreme
Watch What-If: Hamilton Ventura XXL
"Watch What-If" is a special column on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer that asks the playful question "what if an iconic watch you know and love was offered in a different style?" The idea embraces a good timepiece's core design and has fun by offering new colors and material concepts to stimulate your senses. These ideas may be provocative, artistic, or just plain silly. This is about fun, Photoshop, and the celebration of wrist watch design and experimentation. The original design we work off of will always be at the bottom of the article. The designs are brought to life by Beau Hudspeth who does the artwork and concepting after he and I choose the models and styles to focus on. These "special design experiments" are extremely time consuming and labor intensive but we hope you enjoy the results. Ideas and comments are more than welcome. Enough response may even lead to a round two of design of the same watch - so please comment below. You are also encouraged to suggest the watches that sho

hi everyone
Datejust vs oyster perpetual
As some of you would of read my last post asking about dials on the op for my wifes up coming 30th B'Day.I thought id update our recent purchase. We were going to go for a 31mm op for her but rolex dont do an all silver dial for this watch. If they did the search may have been concluded. As the days went on though i knew in my heart that a date just with jubilee would be the grail watch for her.I just didnt want to justify the extra $$$$So was pretty convinced on a 31mm op silver dial with pink indices... unfortunately know one had one in stock nor could give a eta on one.As i thought about it more & more i decided just to bite the bullet and get the watch she dreamt of....Can always save more money but its not easy to make an op a date just Any way its a couple of months to her birthday but ivetold her just to rock it now
RSC question
I was in NYC this last weekend and wondered into the Rolex building. I just recently acquired a Pepsi GMT. I have been having problems with the crown now winding. They told me that it needed a service and a new crow. The total is about 800 dollars. Does anyone know what the RSC does for a full service to the watch? does it basically come back like new?? Here is a list of stuff they found with the watch.WATCH CONDITIONl Bracelet wornl Case scratchedl Bezel scratchedl Dial luminous material worn l Full service requiredl Bracelet scratchedl Bezel dentedl Hands luminous material worn l Crown worn Looking at this list, you'd think the watch was a mess. I couldn't see half this stuff. I thought it was pretty clean. Thoughts?!?!
