The 10 Top Watches From Christie’s December Watch Auction

Rolex Stainless Steel Reference 8171 “Padellone,” circa 1953This exceptional Rolex watch, nicknamed “Sleeping Beauty,” sold for $1,145,000, quadrupling its pre-sale estimate of $250,000 – $350,000. 42mm Offshore with CE Bezel
Hey Guys, I went to the AP boutique on 57th Street today and tried on the new black 42mm ROO with the CE bezel. (It's not for sale yet, just there to show off the 2018 novelties.)The grey Ti version hadn't arrived yet so I couldn't try it on, but they said it'll arrive Monday and be there for the week. The 42mm size has always been perfect for me, but I always wished they came with ceramic bezels, so obviously I was quite chuffed this year when I saw these. I'm happy to say that it is every bit as cool as I thought it would be. It's crazy how just the addition of a ceramic bezel can make something so different. Enough words. Picture time. And just for fun, because I love the Ti 44 so much...

Daytona yearly production count is....
Okay I've visited my AD recently and he was pissed with no SS stock to sell. He recently spoke to Rolex executive and they assured that SS pieces will slowly trickle back to stores albeit at conservative rate. He mentioned that they discussed possibility about increasing Daytona production possibility but it was shot down and they want to stick to current number of 14,000 per year for the whole world. The executive gave reasons that number is decided after numerous meetings with marketing, production and only involves leadership and that number will continue to be same for a long time. So, there it is both versions of Daytona has 14K production count per year!Personally it looks very plausible number and not a stupid number thrown at my face!!Believe if you care or ignore but just wanted to share it here.Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
