Omega and Tourbillon Boutiques Present Apollo and Gemini in Las Vegas
Astronauts from the landmark Gemini and Apollo NASA programs will join Omega and Tourbillon in Las Vegas to celebrate an exhibit featuring rare artifacts from the iconic space missions. The exhibit will showcase a Lunar Rover, an Apollo 10 space suit and Mars Rover, and Omega Speedmaster watches. The exhibit runs from October 20th to 24th at City Center and is open to the public. In addition to the exhibit, Omega and Tourbillon will host an invitation-only VIP cocktail reception Thursday, October 20th from 6 p.m. �C 9 p.m. at the Tourbillon boutique. The reception will honor Gemini and Apollo astronaut Lt. General Thomas Stafford and Apollo 17 astronaut��and last man to walk on the moon��Captain Gene Cernan. I've owned several cal 2500 POs and have been wanting to try the new cal 8500. I was lucky to take one in on a trade deal. It just arrived today and here is a quick wrist shot. What do you guys think???

Somethin' to tide me over...
... while looking for the perfect vintage Constellation. It was an Ebay Buy It Now and not much money. I'm taking it to our watchmaker Monday for a good cleaning. It's got a cal. 351 bumper movement - and it's in better shape than I expected. Um, hope it's real.These pics are also posted in today's WRUW thread...

Many will not understand this purchase {when you already have the 1R} but after trying to like my new Rolex GMT WG Pepsi, I just could not get there. Why have a new watch which is your least favorite? I could not even bring myself to de sticker it. I know I am in the minority here but I like TT models and have owned many. I wear short sleeves year round and wanted a PP that can be under the radar. I really love the entire 5980 line and have I mentioned the blue dial........ George from Govberg made me an offer taking in my Pepsi on this trade which was really fair. Being a TT and the blue dial color, it really seems like a different watch. So now the wait for the FedEx truck begins again. I have finally found the cure for my Rolex addiction.

Dress watch battle
Any Advice on relative merits/demerits especially cost/resale of following dress watches: Patek 5296 vs Grand Lange 1 vs VC patrimony tradionnelle I am looking for entry level dress watch from high end luxury makers,is that a good short list?Thanks!
