Aquanautic Manages To Create Hole, Then Fill It With The New Diving Tourbillon Monopusher Chronograph Watch
Today I'm filled with cynicism and Aquanautic is just feeding into it. I really don't have a problem with brands like Aquanautic that seem to appear from the ether with gaudily appointed watches, but when such pointless models come out assaulting my sense of reason, I am forced to step back a few paces back and question their motives.Aquanautic seems to have one major goal, create and market expensive diving themed watches for people who really don't care much about watches, but perhaps want appear to care about watches. The brand has no real history, and a name which is an adjective; "having the quality of traveling in the water." It is all pretty thin. At least they could have used a noun for a name. Basically you just get a bunch of precious metals, some fancy complications, more adjectives, and throw them in a blender; I suppose in this case a sea cyclone. The result is a mishmash of concepts (literally and figuratively) and you have the Aquanautic Diving Tourbillon Monopusher Chro
Tempest Commodore Review
I think a change is coming to the boutique watch world, especially in the niche of the dive watch. Slowly but surely, we're seeing more and more watch brands strive to create new, unique designs. Designs that push manufacturing abilities while maintaining solid values. The days of stock cases and hands, everything being a minor variation of each other with a different brand logo, is disappearing. Perhaps it's because the market did get saturated that now new, younger brands, feel the fire to innovate. The Tempest Commodore, the subject of today's review, exemplifies this. This new breed of boutique diver has many of the same qualities as the last gen; tough-as-nails, Asian-made divers with Japanese automatics, sapphire crystals and more, that come in under $1,000. But, immediately upon removing one (we have many to show) from its packaging, the difference was clear. The case was captivating, with sleek contours and sharp edges and a reported 500m WR. The inky black of the bezel could on
Collection Construction
I'm considering purchasing a ROO 44mm to add to the rose gold equation of time I just purchased and am having trouble deciding between the RG and the Plat. The RG sings a bit more to me on my wrist, but obviously it's a bit duplicative of the EoT. When all you handsome gentleman are assembling your collections, do you just go for your favorite watch in a vaccuum, or try to add some variety to avoid replicating the same general look throughout?
New Avenger Seawolf
Ok, so I told the wife a few weeks ago I was look for more of an everyday watch since my Chronomat was starting to get some scratches on the bracelet and it is a pretty dressy watch in my opinion, so to my total surprise she answered the call this Christmas Morning. Not sure how everyday this is going to be, it is a HUGE watch...!
GMT Master 2 bracelet links
Hi guys, wanted to seek some clarification. First off, I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before. My 116713 is dated 2015, and I bought it pre-owned from a direct owner. I counted 12 links on my 116713LN bracelet, as per pictures attached below. However, I've read on forums and my friends who own the GMT series as well 116710LN, BLNR, all seem to have 13 links on theirs. Any GMT owners out there reading this thread? How many links do you have in total? I did read on a forum that older GMT's come with 12 links, newer ones come with 13. However I can't find any proof to that just yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I looked up the oyster bracelet model number, 78203 and it shows to have 13 links. As of now, I seem to be missing one link. Would appreciate any help on this, thanks.
