SM300 clasp on PO8500
Have struggled with the PO for over a month. The lack of micro adjustment is a real pain in the wrist. My AD ordered me the SM300 clasp and installed it today. Watch fits so much better and feels better balanced on the wrist with the larger clasp. May not flip this one now.
177 vs 564
Hey All,So I had another thread about this topic, but it had a stupid title so I figured I would start a new one with the proper subject line to try and catch more of the experts (though I did get good advice on the other thread too!). I had read somewhere that the 177 had a slightly domed crystal, is that true? Do any owners have a side shot that shows the dome? I did google pictures, but it was tough to tell. I am a big enough fan of domed crystals that that would be enough of a differentiation to sway me toward the 177. It doesn't bother me that the 177 had an ETA based movement, in fact it seems some prefer it to the in house movement. Regarding the 564, I like the brown dial, but it is so dark that it is difficult to tell it isn't black, so that makes it tough to opt for the 564 for the sake of the brown dial. My one concern was the size, but I tried the base dial version of the 564 at an AD, and it fit well. I loved how light the titanium made the watch, as well.
If you could only have 2 PAM to the rest of your life, what would it be?
If you could only have 2 PAM to the rest of your life, what would it be?No more than 2.for me I choose:PAM 289PAM 372 (The all time favorite Panerai of this forum)I also like 111, 312, 390, but I prefer 289 and 372
Sometimes you have to do something stupid...
While not wanting the new GMT (in the minority I’m sure), I do want the new DSSD... I had the orgional from day one and like many (or some) it just didn’t sit right for me. With the redesign I think it will be good. BUT, in order to get one in a timely manner and not pay grey prices, and even though I do have a long relationship with my AD, I was not a big buyer (DavidSW got most of my business). So in order to get a new DSSD this summer, he said it will really help if you get something now (last Watch I got from him was the SD4K in 2016)... The only watch I wanted lately was the BLNR, and ended up getting a new from TRF about 6 weeks ago... Well he said I can get you the GMT you wanted, so not wanting to tell him I have it already, I told him to get it, and I’m going to sell my other BLNR... Yes, this is just crazy, but it’s going to be less than gray prices in the end, and can’t believe I’m even going to do this, but it’s my best ch
Why is 2018 going to be different?
In every SS Watches are Nowhere to be Found thread, I feel like at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the posters have a similar response; just wait until 2018. Their playbook has been excellent, they've created more demand than ever and possibly the ultimate luxury brand on Earth, can anyone who feels that the display cases will be filled to brim in 2018 explain why they feel that way?I'm in the boat that says they're going to let demand exceed supply again.A) It has worked like magic for themB) Exceeding demand will then curb itC) Exclusivity fuels demand
