Ap safari refinishing quote
Has anyone gotten a quote to refinish the SS bezel on an AP ROO? I had heard $250, but I'm not sure that's accurate for just a refinish. That price might be when it's included with another service. Thanks.
Omega mesh - can it get small enough for my wrist?
Looking at getting some 20mm mesh. First off- where can I even get it? Preowned is all I can think of. My wrist is about 6 inches. Here is a pic of how long the bracelet is sized for my wrist. You guys think it'd look good on this watch, and is it size able down to my girth? Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My new PO finally saw ocean
Just got back from Cabo San Lucas where my PO got its first dunk in salt water. The watch is beautiful (especially under water) and withstood the trials of partying quite well.I had been looking for a general sport watch for a while now and wearing this on one wrist with a Submariner on the other I had to choose the PO. It just looked and felt so perfect for me (plus the money I saved paid for my St. Gallen Rescue which I'll take some pics of later). While I would love to own a Rolex someday, I am very happy with my PO and it is a welcome addition to my small watch collection (and likely will get the most wear time).Obligatory pics:
Advice for young Patek enthusiasts
Hi everyone, I do not post a lot on here, but spend a lot of time lurking and am just amazed at the individual pieces and whole collections that you all have on here (you know who you are ). I really love fine watch making and aspire to own a Patek one day, let alone multiple. However, I am young and paying off school loans in the six figures and it seems like such an unreal goal. My watches have all been gifts to me by generous and loving people in my life, so I'd really like to eventually buy the Patek for myself. I was wondering if any of you had any advice or guiding principles that helped you accomplish your goals or acquire your collection? To see these pieces on your wrists, I know you're doing something right! Best
Longest Wait On AD List (Before Getting The Watch)
With some people being quoted 8 and 10 year waiting lists on the new SS Pepsi GMT (had heard similar stories on older 16520 and newer 116500 Daytonas, the SS Sky Dweller, etc.) wonder what is the longest someone here had actually waited on such lists before getting a watch. I don't mean people that are still waiting on a list, but rather people that had already got the call and bought the watch after a pretty long waiting period.
