F.P. Journe Young Talent Competition Brings International Watchmaking Students To Baselworld
Last week, the Acadmie Horlogere des Crateurs Indpendants (AHCI) announced the winners of the 2016 F.P. Journe Young Talent Competition. Three students of watchmaking, all based outside of Switzerland, were invited to join the ACHI in Basel to witness the world's largest watch fair. 1 OF 6 From left to right: Tristan Ledard, Anna-Rose Kirk, Fran?ois-Paul Journe, and Anton Sukhanov. Brand new 5164a in for service already!
Kind of bummed. One month old 5164 was losing 6 sec a day. Couldn't be regulated. Needs a full service. Even though its brand new it will still take 4 weeks minimum. Very disappointed. How did it leave the factory like this? This never happened to any of my Rolex watches.

ss dd
Heard from a solid source that a white dial ss DD is dropping Basel this year, as well as a ss Pepsi GMT II. Several DD-owning friends said there's no way Rolex would drop one in ss, but I don't see why not, seeing as they've done similar things with other references, such as the Sky-D. Do you guys think an ss version of the venerable classic would become the most popular?
