Glycine Airman Base 22 Watch
You either really like Glycine pilot watches or you don't. Some people swear by them. From a price/quality standpoint, Glycine is a pretty good value - no matter what watch in their collection that you like (pilot watch or not). The Airman Base 22 is the most recent iteration of the Airman watch and Glycine went retro. Of course they did, everyone else did this year. It comes in at least three types, with black or white dials. There are 12 and 24 hour versions, with and without a GMT hand.See my Glycine Airman Base 22 watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here.See Glycine watches on eBay here.See Glycine watches on Amazon here. New Basel release Navitimer 1461 Limited Edition
I took these shots for a friend who picked up this watch but he's already decided to sell it. It's a great watch and wears very comfortable. It looks great on the croc strap, but I think it would look even better on the bracelet. Thoughts?
Here's One Not Often Seen Here
I couldn't resist this one. I've been really getting into vintage Omega lately. The Omega sport watches from the 60s/70s are so cool and the ability to get an Extract from the Archives confirming date of production and where the watch was delivered is a huge plus. This Seamaster 176.007 Chronograph totally blew me away. Blue dial, totalizer sub dial has turned tropic, orange airplane hand minute counter, 24 hr day night indicator. And a quick set date. Plus, it has the legendary 1040 Lemania movement and it Omega's first automatic Chronograph. It's just freakin awesome! Why aren't more people collecting these?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quartz or auto for first Omega?
I have long wanted a high quality Swiss watch. I have never had an automatic before. But I have been thinking if I do step up to an Omega. Should I go ahead and get what would be my first auto, or stick with a quartz. What do you all suggest?
5726A grey or white?
I am really fascinated by the 5726.I actually liked the white from the get-go but now have the chance to pick up one with the grey slate dial.I always liked the way the date window merged nicely with the white dial but up until recently I had an impression there was not really too much love for the white dialed 5726.What do you guys think about the long term prospects of retaining value/desireability of grey versus white?I am thinking to snap up the grey and perhaps later trade for a white if I still feel the way I do now...Thanks for your thoughts!
