Bell & Ross Sets Records at Paris Auction
French auction house Artcurial recently held a sale of exceptional aeronautical objects. The auction, titled Aeronautics, the Air and Space Conquest, took place at the prestigious Hotel Dassault in Paris. Among the hundreds of items featured in the sale, aeronautic enthusiasts were pleased to discover three Bell & Ross watches, which sold well above their original retail prices. Find the sale results inside. The three lots were the Pilot Aronaval Sapphire, produced in 2007 in a limited edition of 150 pieces, and two BR03 Aviation Type timepieces, one in steel, the other in carbon. The latter two were released in 2009, with each version limited to 250 pieces. These special models were produced at the request of the French Naval Aviation Force and the French Air Force, with each timepiece displaying the emblem of its respective unit. As these piece were not offered to the general public but were available exclusively to members of these elite forces, the three watches generated mu
Introducing: The New Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Master Chronometer Chronograph For Baselworld 2016
The pre-Baselworld releases have started to roll in and today we bring you the upcoming new addition to the Omega Speedmaster Collection – the Speedmaster Chronograph Moonphase Master Chronometer. The watch was first announced in January and we're taking a look at it for the first time here at HODINKEE. 1 OF 2 The new 44 mm stainless-steel Speedmaster Moonphase features a blue dial with a moon-phase aperture at 6 o’clock, and is further set with 12-hour register and date sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, respectively. This new Speedy also has a brand new in-house movement, the caliber 9904, which is made of 368 components and builds on the earlier 9300 series. The moon phase is both a Master Co-Axial and Chronometer and therefore is certified as a Master Chronometer. Additionally, the watch is now METAS-certified (the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology), which is a more thorough and intense certification than the COSC. The first METAS-certified watch was

Hi Omega aficionados,I'm not sure if there is a single thread about pictures of Omega watches on leather, rubber and nato straps. I just thought it would be nice to seem them all together under one thread. Thanks in advance and keep the pictures coming p.s. I don't have an Omega yet as of this moment but I'm planning to get a Speedy hopefully soon.
PAM 24 or 49
First Panerai. I have small wrists 6.3. Pam 24 44mm or Pam 49 40mm. I know its a PAM and its supposed to rock out big style, but I'm ok with the 40mm and chose the 24 because it looks like it wears small. All input and advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
Rolex "Grand Prix de Monaco"
Hello guys, dont really find something about these special watches here at the Forum. It's not the same as the 24H Daytona or 24H Le Mans watches, given from Rolex to the winners, the Grand Prix de Monaco watches are, what I think, from a local dealer in Monaco given to Racing Drivers. Example:1992 for the Monaco GP, the most exiting GP in Monaco ever, Senna vs. Mansell see https://.youtube/watch?v=YsqipJ2lSZsThe were given 3 watches, Submariners in Gold, Bi Color and Steel. Not sure for what exactly, I would say fastest lap, Winner and Qualifying. Two were auctioned bevor, see:https://catalog.antiquorum.swiss/en/...13-350?page=18https://.phillips/detail/ROLEX/CH080117/126Does someone knowes more about these unique watches? Pictures, Details?Lets see what's coming....
