Romain Jerome Liberty DNA Watch
The newest "DNA" watch collection from Romain Jerome will be the Liberty DNA timepieces. These watches will each incorporate some metal from the actual Statue of Liberty, and feature a unique design meant to honor the statue while not simply featuring imagery from it on the case and dial. Incoming 5164r but sadly...
Hey guys,As a result of the great feedback from this forum, I ended up buying a 5164r. Anyway Long story short. Left the watch at my bedside table and left for work without wearing the watch as I was late. The evening I came back, my watch was on the floor :(. I guessed my toddler came into my room and dropped it on the floor.Can't really be mad at my cheeky monkey. He means the world to me. Just sad that I haven't even had time to take proper shots and postedI really can't stand the look of the watch now. There's a dent at the 6 o clock mark now. Any chance that the case can be fixed at service (i.e laser and filings)? Thinking about a 5711, but tried on a 5980...(ruined?)
I've been eyeing a Nautilus for a little while now, focusing on the 5711, doing my research, etc. This past weekend I went down to Shreve and tried on a little bit of everything, trying to finalize my decision. In addition to a variety of other brands, I tried on a Nautilus and an Aquanaut, the Nautilus hands down my favorite. A little bit about my watch history for reference. Daily wearer is a Exp2, occasionally I wear a vintage Tudor Sub, have had several Pams and a few IWC's, and selling my BP5002 and Pam368 to fund the PP. Moving towards keeping everything at 42mm and under. Not a wrist size issue (7.5) just a taste thing. For the next watch, I'm looking for a dressy sport watch on bracelet.But back the issue, I was trying on a 5980(since they didn't have the 5711), and it was perfect, but way out of my budget. My concern is in the differences in feel between the 2, as far as I can tell the 5980 is a good bit thicker as well as heavier, which I liked. I'm concerned that t

SS Pepsi Likely To Cause Plunge in WG BLRO Sales
I have been looking to buy a pre-owned BLRO in WG, but I am now just going to buy the SS Pepsi. The SS models hold their value much better, they are easier to sell if you change your mind, they are more durable and now there is little difference in the look, plus the SS Pepsi has the new movement and a much longer lasting power reserve which makes it technically a superior watch to the WG BLRO.The White Gold BLRO was not a big seller before this SS Pepsi was introduced, so I think sales of the WG BLRO are likely to go down even more now which might eventually lead to the model being discontinued or maybe Rolex will upgrade it in some way like the movement. Thoughts?A used WG BLRO is about $23 to $24k today, which is enough to buy a SS Pepsi and a SS Daytona and still have about $2 to $3k left for a fun weekend....Based on that I can't justify a WG BLRO anymore. It needs to drop further in price so that it makes more sense.
