MeisterSinger Salthora Meta With Green Dial For Harrods
Easily identifiable and differentiable designs are one of the keys to a?model's C or?rather, an entire brand's C success.?If a brand can forge a cast-iron USP (unique selling proposition), it's got a pretty good chance of finding a foothold in the market. For German brand MeisterSinger, their reputation as a "uni-hand" brand has won them many fans. However, with the MeisterSinger Salthora range, we saw an evolution of their design principles, and the latest addition to that?collection is the MeisterSinger Salthora Meta watch. The MeisterSinger Salthora Meta is a bit larger than its parent line, but uses an identical design. Along with the release of four core models, a special edition green dial for Harrods of London has been produced. The green dial variant is available from May 1st, 2015, and features an automatic movement listed on MeisterSinger's official website as an ETA 2824-2/Selita SW 220-1.When it comes to design briefs, MeisterSinger's was always pretty straightforward: one
Cambridge University Gets Masterful Corpus 'Chronophage' Clock From Inventor John C. Taylor: Reminds Students To Graduate On Time, Or Else!
I love this stuff. It seems as though most all inventors at one point in their life just have to create some method of displaying the time. They can't call them 'clocks' either, that would be too...routine. Here we have a fascinating clock that was donated to Cambridge University in England by successful inventor John C. Taylor, who himself attended Cambridge in the 1950s. He refers to it as a "Chronophage" (something that 'eats' time), and named it the "Corpus Clock." This is likely do to the fact that it will be placed at the Corpus Christi College at Cambridge.Taylor has had a privileged life no doubt aided by his inherent talent and skills. He gained his fortune improving of all things, thermostats. You can read more about him here. About seven years ago he began the development of this clock which he half paid for himself at a total cost of about one million English Pounds. Although this amount seems high, you have to take into consideration the budgets involved when Swiss watch m
Introducing The Montblanc Heritage Chronomtrie Quantieme Annual Calendar Vasco da Gama
With the introduction of the Heritage Chronométrie Quantième Annuel Vasco da Gama, Montblanc makes a fine push into the small, but growing, segment of the industry for relatively affordable complicated timepieces. (They also score big points for having an epic product name – the collection is inspired by Vasco de Gama, the first European to reach India by sea.)This 40 mm wristwatch – available in both steel and gold, pictured here – is modern without being cold, with a dial that balances three sub-dials for the annual calendar and a separate moonphase with elegant ease.At a list price of EUR 11,100 in 18k red gold, you would be hard-pressed to find a greater value proposition for a similarly complicated precious metal wristwatch in this price category. (For example, JLC's Master Calendar in pink gold will cost you well over the twenty-thousand-dollar mark.) 2 OF 3 The movement is partially visible behind a sapphire crystal case back featu

5070P and 5970 any metal, need your opnions!
dear all, sorry if what I am about to say has been around many times before.I consider the pair 5070 and 5970, in any metal, as a pinnacle .Got the 5070R already. But next step is a little more complicated -- I know of a person that has 5070P and 5970R both BNIB, double sealed. He has also a 3970J. Planning on start a push to trade with him, not sure about outcome yet.My question , now -- is there any sense on trying to get the 5070P ? if so, no way on getting the 5970R or even the 3970J.Also, is the 3970J a good choice, in terms of collectability ? Your opinions are quite valuable for me to narrow my focus.thank you so much in advance best
