F.P. Journe Historical Anniversary Tourbillon Watch Celebrates His Status As A Watchmaker
As we mentioned in our First Grail post earlier this week, F.P. Journe is celebrating a 30th anniversary, one that marks the occasion of his first watch (a pocket watch) having been completed. While 1983 is the starting point for the celebration, the journey to this first watch actually started five years earlier. The result is a new limited edition wristwatch called the Historical Anniversary Tourbillon timepiece.Working in a shop owned by his uncle, Journe worked nights and weekends to create his first masterpiece. And this wasn't just some simple three-hander. No, he had a love for antique tourbillons - so he decided to make his own. These days, that particular complication shows up all over the place. Thirty years ago, though, it was a much rarer beast - especially one that was made by hand.Needless to say, that one-of-a-kind pocket watch was the first signed F.P. Journe, and kicked off the journey that brought us the eponymous watch company in 1991. To mark the occasion of thirty
Marcello C. Diavolo Watches: Bold New Direction From Outstanding German Watch Maker
Long in anticipation, and finally here; the first line of truly original watches from one of my favorite watch makers, Marcello C. The Diavolo line was designed to be unique yet instantly acceptable to anyone. The small attention to details on the Diavolo are impressive, the price highly encouraging, and the style lasting. I hope this means that we are going to enjoy more watch offerings such as this from Marcello C.Marcello C loves this watch so much, they did something almost unheard of in the watch world. Right of the bat they make a number of models and colors available. Three different bezel treatments, different color combinations, two types of faces, and steel, PVD steel, and gold versions available. Even one with diamonds. Most watch companies merely trickle out models after the time has been invested into a new model. For instance, the orange colored Diavolo model would be released as a "new model" if it was any other watch maker. Marcello C is able to resist this pretentious
First non-Rolex incoming!!
I️ am the biggest fan ever of the Explorer, but surprisingly don't have one at the moment. Just received my new Omega Railmaster today. Couldn't be happier. I️ don't typically like to buy without seeing a watch in person, but since this one's been out of production a while, I️ didn't have any choice. I️ liked it in pictures, but absolutely love it on the wrist. 39.2mm is a perfect size.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello fellow TRF members I just purchased these two beauties to add to my humble collection., Please give me your opinion it really matters.Thank you very much in advance.
Explorer II ceramic - the next generation.
The photo below is a current Explorer II which I found whilst browsing eBay today, but due to the lighting in this photo the bezel is darker and if you squint a little you can see exactly what a ceramic Explorer II would look like and I must admit that it would be an absolutely gorgeous watch. What are your thoughts on this? I personally think people would go crazy for this, waiting lists would be in line with the other ss sport models. Just what the explorer 2 needs to boost sales. The Daytona had a 100% steel bezel and went to ceramic, with an option of black or white for the dial. So it's not entirely unrealistic to expect the explorer to follow the same path, especially considering that it too has black and white dials. Interested to hear your thoughts. Richard
