Oh, Celebrities And Their Rolex Watches!
I am typically not one for celebrity gossip. As far as I am concerned, celebrities, for the most part, are just like you and me, but less intelligent, with more money, and with lots more free time on their hands. But when you combine watches and celebrities I get a bit interested, if not for sheer voyeuristic intentions. Here is a little enjoyable blog about celebrities and their Rolex watches. Some shots are glamorous, some are less than so. The bottom line is that these celebrities never seem to take their Rolex watches off. Don't be impressed however when a celebrity chooses to wear a Rolex. They sure are nice watches, but they are basically the default "nice watch." Sort of like "new money's first luxury watch." Never a bad choice, but not the only choice. Nevertheless, no true watch collection is complete without at least a handful of Rolex watches. Welcome to Club AP
It has been a long time coming. I've admired AP from afar for quite some time now and after coming close a couple times over the past year, I finally pulled the trigger. I am the proud owner for my first AP, a Royal Oak Chrono! I can't even begin to describe how beautiful this watch is. We all know the dial is mesmerizing, but the craftsmanship on the bracelet is just superb. I love how the brushed and polished parts catch the light as it almost dances on the wrist. I've attached a wrist shot below, more to come once I stop over it.Only one problem though. I've had this bad boy for about 6 hours now and I'm already figuring out which AP to buy next! Oh well, looks like it's time to hunt down a Titanium Schumi. P.S. Many thanks to MB23 for coming through in the clutch and getting me a great deal after the ADs failed to deliver.

Breitling B1 Chronometre A78.Say no more...the best of the best.Pity it was discontinued in 2006.Great wrist presence. Double sided anti-reflection treatment on the crystal means sometimes you don't even think a crystal is fitted to the watch.More functions than any watch I've ever had all rolled up into one.Superquartz accuracy, the best of quartz you can get.

Hi all, I have just finished reading about John Harrison and the longitude problem. It really got me thinking and I would appreciate some members thoughts on good reads. I'm fascinated by how they made clocks and more recently the inner workings of watches. Thanks Andy
