HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 155
By this point John is a full-fledged Rolex lover and his lust for one is becoming insatiable. Especially after we discuss our thoughts on the new Sea-Dweller 4000 and other new for 2014 Rolex watches. We also talk about Jaeger-LeCoultre's quietly updated AMVOX2 Transponder watch and some new Omega Speedmaster watches. That and as much as we can fit in about Baselworld 2014Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 155 here.
Finally joined the Omega Club!!!
Thanks to Fr. John for his help yesterday. I purchased from his AD yesterday and received tremendous service as a result. Now about the watch -- The size is perfect, 42mm, and it fits very comfortably on my wrist (6.50+). It's a a true icon and a work of art. I have a 372 that I love and was on the hunt for a watch that can take a beating and go anywhere with me. My choices were narrowed down to: the Pam 005, the Speedy Pro and either a sub c or this discontinued sea dweller. My gut said speedy pro now and maybe add a rolex later on. I think I made the right call here. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this a lot. Thanks to everyone who posts here on the forums. My due diligence was made easy by searching all the various threads over the last several months. Now the wrist shots: (I don't know why the pics are posting upright like that).
Omega Speedmaster Pro Apollo 15
I popped into the Omega AD and while there I saw this version, LE 1971 pieces, LE box, displayback. It was quite striking but the strap's absence of any gold did not seem quite right.I was aware that the Speedy was available in full gold but had never seen a T/T available.I left promptly after my idiot brain reminded me I had a quality brown alligator strap just sitting there waiting for a donor watch.
last tgif of 2017....
wishing everyone a happy, safe and healthy new year
What is up with these Daytona dials?
This company is pretty well known. Is it just me, or do these dials look really weird? Below is my 116500.The Rolex on the dial is cartoonish big. I'm shocked they'd post this photo and advertise these watches.
