Photo Report: Inside The New Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique In NYC
Madison Avenue in New York is quickly becoming one of the best watch shopping streets in the world. Not only is there a stunning Vacheron Constantin Boutique on 64th street (open since 2011), and brand new boutiques from A. Lange & Söhne and Seiko, but as of this past Friday at 4 p.m., we now have an official Jaeger-LeCoultre store in NYC. And guess what? We were there first thing to photograph the whole damn thing. Click through for a photo report of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique in NYC, now open for business. 2 OF 98 The selection of watches in the new JLC boutique is simply fantastic. Of course, you are going to see a wide selection of Reversos, including the awesome 1948 Reverso (introduced here). You will also find the full range of 1931 Reversos, which, as you may remember, do not even read "Jaeger-LeCoultre" on the dial. 3 OF 98 And if you're a die-hard Reverso fan? Well, they also have the grand complications in stoc
On today's episode of ripoff watch dealers - Swiss Watch Expo, Atlanta GA.
I moved to ATL a few days ago, and Swiss Watch Expo is within walking distance, so I thought I'll entertain myself and go check out their selection.Few of the older Rolex watches were obviously polished past usable condition, and few were clear frankenwatches. But on modern pieces, they do have quite a large selection.Prices are way higher than TRF, but that's expected given that it is a real store, not an internet seller. But here comes the funny part. I asked what sort of trade-in they would offer me for my 15202 Jumbo. The sales rep went and asked her manager.7000 dollars in store credit.Seven Thousand dollars for a 15202 Jumbo. I'm sorry, but that's not even a lowball, that's an attempted robbery. She then explained how they get watches at wholesale prices and so on and so on. I simply said thank you for a good laugh, and left. There are lowball offers, and then there are insulting offers, and then there is this.
Would you trade..
A DSSD in for a white face 15400 Royal Oak with leather strap? Also, question on the side... What is the msrp and typical AD discounts on these, AND what is the cost if you buy the leather straps and not include the bracelet?

Which of these two full SS Nautilus models would you choose and why?5980/1A-0145726A/1A-001Personally, I think the aesthetics of the Annual version are impeccable, but it is less useful to me than a chronograph, which I can use throughout my career on assessment instruments (Thus, why I have so many chronos in my collection...). On the other hand, I don't have an annual in my collection yet, and I do think the aesthetics of this particular model are immaculate.
