My Experience at the Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Exhibition @ Singapore
Set in the exotic venue of the historic Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, the Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Exhibition came to the last leg of its world tour in Singapore from 10 - 14 Oct 2012. Thanks to AP, Timezone and my AD, my partner and I were very fortunate to be invited to the cocktail receptions to witness and participate in the wonderful celebration of one of the most iconic horology creations in our time. Naturally, the highlight of the exhibition was the 100 iconic Royal Oak timepieces and invaluable memorabilia dating back to the beginning of the 70s. However, we were equally fascinated by the exciting atmosphere, artistic deco, and the wonderful cuisines and live performances. Of course, for a watch enthusiast, the best part for me was definitely the opportunity to interact with the watchmakers at the Workshop! 1947 Breitling Datora rescue!
Dear Friends, here's a 785 I chanced upon with a rare dial configuration with gold dot markers on the dial. I initially wasn't sure about this configuration so contacted knowledgeable forum friends who confirmed it was all original. I then came across some advertisements (seen in pics) showing the same dial configuration and knew I had to breathe life into this watch. Off it went to a known vintage Breitling repairer who did his best to preserve this watch for the future. Offcourse the dial does show it's age so not much could be done about that but he put in plenty of effort into getting the movement and parts working again besides some other essential repairs. Omega warranty is awesome
I bought a preowned 2594.52 from the US and the prior owner had it full serviced back in Feb/2011.Last week the crown was no longer screwing down.I took it to Omega in Toronto and they called Omega US to confirm if the watch was indeed serviced. They confirmed and the crown replacement and tube will be under warranty.For those who are unaware, Omega warranty is transferrable!

Bezel issue
Hi allRecently took a 1997 14060 sub in to RSC for service and they changed the bezel without telling me.Did not realise until I saw that the pearl lume was brighter.The watch has a tritium dial and now the pearl on the bezel looks out of place in the dark.Can I source an original bezel and pearl.???
