Kairos Smartwatch Blends Mechanical Watch With Technology
The Kairos smartwatch announced recently combines the best of both worlds. A smart watch, and a competent mechanical watch. Smartwatches, as we've seen before, are hard to make well. One of the arguments against smartwatches?has been, "mechanical watch companies have been doing this for over 100 years, and you aren't going to wipe that out with a pretty LCD, quartz crisis notwithstanding."As an watches-dealer exclusive, we're able to share with you a new model of Kairos watch that you won't see anywhere else. The SSW 158 in all black finish. Sam Yang, Founder and Managing Director of Kairos Watches told us that this model and finish was in high demand. The SSW 158 is equipped with a Swiss movement.Target DemographicYang says, "I just wanted to create a smart watch for the 'non-techies' of the world who want to get smart watch functions." Kairos' first release is a watch that combines a smart watch operating system (Android Wear (which we covered here) or a possibly a custom-made Kairos

Jewelry Rep never heard of AP?
I was attending my friends son's bris (ritual circumcision ) this morning and one of our mutual friends is a manufactures rep for several jewelry lines showed me his new 42mm Rolex Explorer with the polar dial. He also has a Bluesy TT so it's not like he is completely watch inept turned to me and asked what was I wearing so I show him my new AP Rubberclad. He says, who makes that? I look at him in semi shock and say its an Audemars Piquet. He says never heard of them.Seriously??? You are in the jewelry biz and are in stores almost everyday and have never heard of AP? Nope he says.Anybody else think this is kind of shocking given the history of the brand? I would figure most people wouldn't know an AP from a Timex but a guy who is in a jewelry store all the time? Are there not that many AP AD's out there that it would be rare to see them?Interesting...

Went to my AD Today
Well today was finally the day I went and visited my local AD. I have to admit I was a little nervous and intimidated on arrival. This place had been robbed a few years back and because of that they have a security guard on duty. It is surprising as its in a very ritzy area flooded with cops, but I guess it doesn't matter where you are there is no safe zone anymore.I was greeted immediatley as soon as I stepped in the door. Very welcoming to say the least. I was greeted by a beautiful young lady named Emily. She was very welcoming and immediately asked Are shopping for yourself or for someone else?. I told her for myself. She asked What are you looking for, anything in particular?. I told her ROLES!!!! of course. She immediately made her way over to the case as it couldn't have been anymore clearer than the ROLEX advertising on the glass cases and on front of the cases. She asked Could I get you and your Daughter a Bottle of water while you browse?.What I saw I couldn't believe.
