Welcome back to an watches-dealer original series, where we discuss important stores that sell watches all over the world. Each store we profile has an interesting story to tell about where they operate and who they sell to. Whether you buy watches from brick and mortar retailers or prefer to buy watches online, these are the stores that help shape our watch culture around the globe. There is a long list of stores to cover, but if there is a retail location in your favorite city that we simply can't miss, let us know in the comments below. Here is a map of stores we have covered so far.Where to buy watches in Menlo Park, California?Menlo Park is well-known as a venture capital (VC) hub which funds many of Silicon Valley's high tech start-ups. So you might expect well-heeled buyers there to embrace techno watches wholeheartedly. However, that is often not the case, according to Stephen Silver who operates two boutiques in the Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel. His boutiques are the only retail p
Your general perception of the offshore line?
Rolex Forums tells me I have been on a 4 year 2 month hiatus (!) but god knows how much longer it could have been had it not been for this gem of a purchase.I've always been interested in AP as a brand and their legacy, and further research inevitably brought up the infamy of the Royal Oak Offshore as a celebrity watch, to be used as a mere party piece more than anything else. Personally the offshore line does have quite a number of over-the-top limited edition models, but the 'standard' 44mm designs (SS, CF, RG) seem to blend sportiness with elegance perfectly fine. I'd buy a 42mm but the arabic numerals on the chronographs just seemed too messy; the diver being an exception. It sounds very much like a horological spin-off of the Bentley Continental's appeal with the rich and famous, but the Bentley ain't a bad car at all. Does the ROO deserve such stick, especially when compared with the other classic models in the range, as well as other luxury sports watches?Otherwise you could give
Question on Speedy Movements
Guys, need your help. I'm in the market for a Speedy, but possibly leaning towards a date complication. Depending on the reference, I note they are cheaper than the iconic 3570 or 3573. Is it because the 1164 or 3304 movements are inferior & less dependable than the 1861 or 1863 movements?Appreciate your thoughts.

Advice needed 16610 LV
Hi everyone. This is my first post so go gentle on me.So watch collection goes. Black sub 2005 explorer 39mm, Kermit Sub, BR03, Tudor black bay(which I love) chpoard mille milglia titanium. Si on the rumours back in 2010 when there were rumours that the 16610LV was going to be taken out of manufacturing. I bought one, but I've never worn it. I've recently had a collector who has approached me asking if I'd sell it for 8.5k. I've heard that Rolex are since putting up process and I suppose the cash would help. However, I'm kind of attached to it even though it's never been on my wrist, I was thinking it would be an 18th birthday present for my 8 yr old son. So just out of curiosity I'm wondering what you guys think? Considering the condition etc, is it a good price or do I hang on to it?Thanks Anthony
