Time For A Classic: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo Watch
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is one of the most classic watches out there still being made today. Easily up there in some top 10 list, if one was ever to be established (note to self - work on top 10 classic watches list). Since its creation way back when (maybe the 1930s) it has been an iconic watch for Jaeger-LeCoultre. One of the most simple and classic, but still interesting Reverso models being sold today is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo. The original Reverso watches did not have dual faces. One side was metal to protect the watch during polo matches. When Jaeger-LeCoultre really revived the Reverso watch, they decided to put the other side of the watch to good use, and give the timepiece two faces. As such, you can flip around the watch to get another side. In this instance each side has a different watch face design, each showing its own time. The internal manually wound mechanical movement powers both faces, that each give a different time. Italian Tendence Round Gulliver Watches: Budget N.O.A
You have got to see the advertising that Tendence No Limits watches produce. One of the video's below is an advertisement, while the other video shows a type of marketing that Italian Tendence engages in. That being a location in the virtual world Second Life. They aren't the first company to have virtual real estate in Second Life as Hublot did it first a while back. The idea is that you have a branded area in a the virtual world that people can explore and get interested in the brand. Avatars can buy virtual watches to wear, but more importantly, it is branding for real world sales. I can't say how successful it is, but I like the idea.Well on to the watches. For now I am talking about a single line of models, the Round Gulliver watches from Tendence. I take it Gulliver refers to the term meaning "head." So the round head watch it is. There are actually many versions (over 20), and I am just displaying a few. Their online catalog is pretty comprehensive (and you can buy many of the m
The Application Process
How does the application process work? Is there an essay you write describing why you believe you are worthy of keeping it for the next generation? Do you recount your watch-buying history? Describe the first time you saw a Nautilus and got weak in the knees?Or is it more general? Do you attach your engagement announcement as posted in the New York Times? Attach your school transcripts starting from prep school?I really don't know, although I am not sure if I will like the answer.
Will the steel bracelet from a 5167 fit the 5165?
Hello,I just sold one of my AP's to fund my grail watch which is the AP 26300 panda. My real grail is the 5167 on bracelet but do not have the patience to save up another 5-6K. I have skinny wrist (6.75 inches) so I believe the 5165 would fit me better and it is cheaper. I am not a big fan of the rubber strap but I do love the new style SS bracelet on the 5167. When I look up all 5165 I NEVER see them on the SS bracelet so I am beginning to think they where never sold with one. My question is will the bracelet from the 5167 fit on the 5165?Thank you.
Blue Isofrane
Does anybody have any pics of a Pam on a blue Isofrane? I have a 112 and am dying to see what it might look like on one!
