Edox Grand Ocean Automatic Chronograph Watch Review
I am happy to present you with this reader submitted review of the Edox Grand Ocean Automatic Chronograph watch. Please thank Erwin V. for not only taking the time to photograph the watch and write his thoughts about it, but also in having the passion to share his perceptions with the aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer reader community. The watch actually impressed me a lot and is from Edox's most recent watch collection for 2009. My favorite part is the very life-like porthole style window on the caseback, very cool. To NATO or not to NATO?
Many of you know my feelings about NATO straps - I have always avoided them like the plague. The risk of grit getting between the strap and the case back is not a risk I will willingly take. I have seen too many case backs damaged. My other problem putting a NATO on My 300 M is that the strap would block the view of the beautiful 8401 movement.But I do like the look of the Bond NATO on the 300 M. I even talked with Jim and the ATL Boutique about the OEM NATO but in the end, went a different route. Here is the result:The quality is quite good and I like the way it snugs up to the case between the lugs. And best of all, the price was about 1/10th of the OEM's.I'm tempted to order one for the Sigma 7 FOIS.

Speedmaster bezels, which is correct ?
I am thinking of replacing my very rough bezel/bezel insert on my latest Speedmaster (see 3rd photo down) It is a pre moon model 145022-69 (from early 1969) I have an option to buy a couple of bezels which supposedly are for this vintage but one has a hyphen over the first E in TACHYMETRE and the other one does not (see photos)The current bezel I have on does not have the hyphen and I am assuming it is the original so obviously I want to replace with the same, anyone know when this hyphen came in please, thanks.

Advice on moving up the Patek complication ladder :)
Hi guys,I need some advice regarding my humble collection. I currently have 5711/1a, 5712r, and a 5146g slate dial. I was thinking to acquire a used 5170, but on a second thought, why not move up further to a grand complication with the budget if i can?So, with a budget of around $60k, with the ability to stretch up a few k, should I sell my dress watch, 5146g, for a used grand comp. (which is usually in dress watch style case)? I was thinking to go up to 5140 or 5159? would 3970 be a 'lil too high for my budget (near $100k mark after selling 5146g)? Any recommendation appreciated.ps. I have a really small wrist, so the choice would be for smaller watchesThe watches I have currently are perfect for the wrist and any bigger ones would look silly.
