Guide To Buying Your First Rolex Part 1: When To Buy
When To Buy')">This is a two-part guide on buying your first Rolex watch. Our Rolex buying guide is intended for both novices and seasoned watch lovers. Part 1 discusses when you should invest in your first Rolex, while Part 2 discusses what specific Rolex timepiece to buy.True story: When I first became interested in "nice" watches I had little interest in Rolex. Looking back, I think I found them a bit ordinary or too conservative looking. My 20-year-old self perhaps saw them as being "too safe" from a design perspective and not close enough the modern, experimental designs I was attracted to at the time. That was all true. Rolex watches are design monoliths. Due to Rolex's impressive marketing over the years, as well as the sheer popularity of their products, they have become the archetype of the "nice watch." And everyone certainly knows about them. My younger self was simply looking for something a bit more fresh. It was not the right time to get my first Rolex.Over the years, my
New arrival in gold and steel
A friend of mine (large public company CEO) has been persuading me for months about the virtues of the Royal Oak. I've had the opportunity to spend some quality time with his in both gold and steel. I wasn't 100% sold on either until we discussed the new two-tone 15400SR. Two-tone tend to be a love/hate thing, but I'm the exception who likes it in some watches and not others.Anyway, after getting together earlier this week, I made the impulsive decision to acquire a RO in steel and rose gold, and was able to get one here just in time for a business trip out to the Bay Area. I'll have a few days to bond with the watch and see how I really feel. For now, here's a pic:The prior owner was gracious enough to get the first minor ding out of the way which allows my OCD a breather until it goes into Clearwater for its first servicements (even if you hate it) welcome. :-)P.S. For those who may ask or later wonder about wrist size, I'm about 7.2.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hello folks,I'm wondering about ages for those who owns DSOM. I'm 44 years young and sure that DSOM will look great for next 10 to 15 years.. But I am not sure if I see myself wearing it over my 60s. what do you guys think?

A True Rolex Submariner 116610 "Tool Watch" not what you think...
I previously posted about the little brother of this big guy - a 16610 version, but this one is the best. There is a huge difference between this Rolex Sub Tool Watch and other tool watches. I'm attaching a poll because there are 2 possibilities. Here it is -->> Rolex Sub 116610 TRUE Tool Watch
