Speedmaster strap care
Hi!I just ordered an alligator strap from Omega today. Because I need a short strap I have to wait 4-6 weeks for it to arrive from Switzerland. Price...nearly $400 Now that I've bitten the bullet and paid the price the question is how can I make this strap last as long as possible? I'll minimize wear during hot humids days for sure.I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions about care from day 1 in making it comfortable and keeping it looking good. Thanks for your thoughts, JeffFWIW, I ordered the brown alligator strap to wear with my Speedmaster 3572.50.

My watch has been well used and abused. Not wishing to provoke tears in any forum member, suffice to say that once it was taken for service in a Ziplock baggy in pieces. The Rolex people were not impressed ! A few weeks ago I found a well engineered thin stainless steel ring on my garage floor. Attracted to it like a magpie, I picked it up and mumbled W T F did this come from horror when I realised the bezel of my watch had disappeared.Knowing how much a full plus parts service was going to cost I said no way.Every time I guiltily glanced at the time, the forlorn watched looked back at me. I now know why the
