1947 Breitling Datora rescue!
Dear Friends, here's a 785 I chanced upon with a rare dial configuration with gold dot markers on the dial. I initially wasn't sure about this configuration so contacted knowledgeable forum friends who confirmed it was all original. I then came across some advertisements (seen in pics) showing the same dial configuration and knew I had to breathe life into this watch. Off it went to a known vintage Breitling repairer who did his best to preserve this watch for the future. Offcourse the dial does show it's age so not much could be done about that but he put in plenty of effort into getting the movement and parts working again besides some other essential repairs. Picked Up A Globemaster
This was very spontaneous. I just went in to say hello and see the new PO's, which are sadly just too big a bulky imho. They are beautiful, for sure. But not what I personally look for anymore. I miss the old 2500 models. Anyway, I had tried on the sample Globemaster annual calendar during an Omega event and loved the feel. I was a little put off by the price and the month with no day. It just seemed weird. Anyway, fast forward to yesterday and I saw this for the first time and fell in love. It's super comfortable. Excellently proportioned. Has a vintage style,but a completely modern feel. I tend to shy away from butterfly clasps, but this bracelet and clasp are very comfortable. It also has great lume and a 10 BAR rating. This one was a, had to have.

First Omega - Speedmaster Professional?
Greetings all,New to the forums and to the Omega world.I am very interested in the Speedmaster Professional, or the moon watch. The watch will be worn on a daily basis.Anyone have any thoughts on this potential purchase? Any reliabality/movement issues? I would probably be looking to purchase a newer model, and seems like I can get one from an AD at around $2700. Any thoughts on the price?Thank you all in advance for your time.
