The HODINKEE Shop Now Carries Watch Winders, Strap Changing Tools C Plus Ten New Calfskin Straps All
Over at the HODINKEE Shop we’ve been expanding our repertoire, and today we’re proud to announce that we are now carrying watch winders and strap changing tools. In addition, we’ve stocked some killer single-layer calfskin straps in 10 colors and two sizes, as well as two new leather travel rolls. See below for full details. Watch Winders We’ve tried a lot of winders, but we keep coming back to Swiss Kubik. They are among the most quality winders we’ve encountered, with several beautiful finishes and nearly silent winding. Now in the HODINKEE Shop, we have five Swiss Kubik winders available: 1 OF 19 The Startbox is the most affordable winder option at $460, and features a sleek black finish. 2 OF 19 The Anodized Silver winder features a modern silver finish, and is available for $795. 3 OF 19 The Wenge Wood finish is one of our favorites, featuring a rustic wood finish. Let's see some Chrono Superocean pictures!
The Breitling Chrono Superocean is a watch that was on my mind a while back. Having spent a lot of my time obsessing over Rolex I feel long over due for some variety, change and a true tool watch to keep the rest of my life. This watch has some neat features that are fairly useful and never owning an Automatic Chronograph in the past it seems the only way to go! Was always a huge fan of aviation or wanting to fly from the time I was a kid and also love the ocean and dive watches. This watch seems to have everything desired in one great looking package! Not to mention this brand has an excellent history behind them. What are pre owned prices like currently on this? Seems as if Breitling in general has some great deals due to the initial depreciation. I am leaning more towards the Blue dial on the polished Pro II bracelet Anyway, let's see some pictures of these great watches! I will start things off:From - breitlingsource
Discounts to be expected?
The local Omega dealer around here is going out of business. Its a chain of 4-5 stores. They have these huge signs plastered in the paper and on the street, play radio commercials sounding like everything must be sold today at liquidation prices etc.For the past few weeks I have stopped by to look at a Planet Ocean Chrono and they have them marked 20% off and won't move another $1. Some liquidation..... Isn't 20-25% pretty typical for an Omega? When does it become a bargain? I really love that watch but would only buy it if it was a super steal price.

Vintage Calatrava?
Hi Guys My father passed away a couple of year ago and my mother had this stached in her closet. I have no idea what It is or if it is manual wound or quartz. I sent it to my AD and he verryfied that it is genuine. He did noT open the case and said that It needs to go to Patek for restoration. For all you experts, What do you guys think? Year? Is this gold or just a coat? movement? How much is it worth? size? Let me know
