Longines GrandeVitesse Chronograph 24h
The Chronograph 24h is the newest addition to Longines’ GrandeVitesse line. The 44mm case is fitted with the a modified version of the automatic ETA Valjoux 7754 movement made exclusively for Longines, dubbed caliber L686. As you might guess from its name, this new watch incorporates chronograph and second time zone. The movement, visible through a sapphire display back, runs in 25 jewels at at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 46 hours. The chronograph features center seconds, a 30 minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12 hour counter at 6 o’clock. Continuous small seconds are located at 9 o’clock. The second time zone is indicated via a black 24 hour hand with a red triangular tip. The case features a double tachymeter on the bezel, graduated in kph and MPH, that can be used for measuring ground-speeds up to Mach 2. The crown and push-pieces have a non-slip texture. The crystal is sapphire with an anti-reflective coating, and the case is water resistant to 50 me
Stupid AP question
I would like one day to get a RG watch, but the 44 will probably be too big for me, plus I don't really care for chronos, it would be awesome if AP one day made a RG diver with ceramic bezel on rubber, so if anyone has close ties with AP management, I know some here do, would be just great if they slipped from time to time in a conversation how great it would be if AP did that, I would 100% get that as my 3rd watch to have my dream trio. What do you think about such a watch? I think it would be really awesome but don't know if it's AP's style to make a RG diver, at the same time most divers of other brands are available in RG and AP did make their diver in different materials...
2254 and 3570.50 for 105.012
Hi Guys, Its that time of the year again when pieces get shuffled around and flipped. In the next coming weeks, I may have an opportunity to obtain a 105.012 (with the original bracelet). I have yet to see the item C as it is currently being serviced-but according to my contact it is in very good condition (with all original or otherwise model-correct parts).Of course, as is usual in our hobby , such a treasure will come at a price C specifically my 3570.50 and 2254.50 (both complete everything). To go straight to the point, would you go for it?Some points to consider:1. ? ? ? ?Aside from the Speedy and Seamaster, I have a SubC, Exp2 and a Chronomat. Obviously, the 2254 and 3570.50 are / will be redundancies when put in the context of the situation,i.e., sub vis a vis 2254 / 3570.50 vis a vis 105.0122. ? ? ? ?In any case, my central concern is can the 105.012 be an everyday user? Both my 2254 and 3570.50 are reliable, effective and resilient pieces C can the same be said for 105.12? Th
