Omega Seamaster Professional (ETA 2892-A2)
I am looking at a used Seamaster Professional (Omega 1120 base ETA 2892-A2) in pristine condition. 41mm case size. Do I go for it or consider the newer Planet Ocean model at 44.5 mm . Any comments on experience with either will be appreciated. Thanks
question re: warranty
I purchased my first PAM (388) not too long ago (great transaction). It's a year old and has a year left of the warranty. After 3 weeks it stopped running (just stopped....) Despite winding, checking the positions etc it would not start again. I sent it to the Dallas repair facility (after speaking to them). The customer service was wonderful. But now I got the written estimate and they said they recommended a $260 maintenance service (but said the finding was that the movement accuracy was within specifications). I need to call them tomorrow for more clarification, but wouldn't it still be covered under warranty? And if the findings were that it's running within specs, why would it need a maintenance service after a year? I'll find out if they got it running again but I was curious what people's thoughts were about this. You can pm if you'd like. I did send the warranty booklet with the watch. hoping it was just an error. Thanks in advance for any information or thoughts (or advice).
Pam 28
Hi guys, I have a question for you, I am selling a BNIB Pam 28, the limited edition of 2009, and I have a proposition for 7.900 euros, which is 9.000 dollars US, does that seem like a low price or normal price? Oh and I'm selling it in Europe, since for some watches there are big differences between the US and Europe. Thanks guys
Rolex Boxes
Do Rolex boxes differ hugely?Model, age etc. Do the more expensive watches come in a fancier 'casket'?It would be nice to see the variationsTucking her up for the night.
Just a Price Increase Question
Not looking for crystal ball jokes, just wondering. Historically speaking, what time of year has the price increase become effective in the past, is the typical price increase the same across all models, if so what is then average increase?I just spoke with a local dealer and as of now the prices are the same.Does that mean there’s no price increase in 2018? Or would it happen after Basel World? Could it happen randomly anytime?I know the above three questions are more or less speculative but Historically speaking, what has the trend been?I.e. in Apr 2010 prices increased 10%, in Jan 2014 prices increased 15%, etc.Looking for facts. Opinions are welcome, but if it’s an opinion just state it as such. Thanks!
