Grieb & Benzinger Presents Unique “Blue Whirlwind” Tourbillon Minute Repeater
The German watch firm Grieb & Benzinger, known for its one-of-a-kind skeletonized watches with intricate guilloch embellishments, has released its latest, called Blue Whirlwind, a skeletonized tourbillon minute repeater based on a rare Patek Philippe caliber. At the heart of Grieb & Benzinger’s Blue Whirlwind is Patek Philippe’s Caliber RTO 27 PS, a rare, manual-winding movement with a tourbillon and minute repeater mechanism, which was famously used in the stainless-steel Patek Philippe Ref. 3939 donated to the 2011 Only Watch Auction. That watch was the top-selling lot in the entire auction, selling for 1.4 million euros. Here, this complicated movement has undergone more than 15 months of skeletonization and other painstakingly precise horological work. All the skeletonization and guilloch treatment on the movement with 336 components, it is one of the world’s most complicated was done by hand. Tissot Watches Become Official Timekeeper Of NBA Basketball
Swatch Group-owned Tissot watches has just announced a major multi-year deal to become the official timekeeper of the NBA (National Basketball Association) and its associated entities. The deal means that Tissot will be prominently displayed in all NBA, WNBA, and other NBA-related events as the association's official timekeeper. This is big news, as American basketball is one of the more recent sports to be the recipient of heavy investments from Swiss watch makers. While there have been various deals among watch brands and teams or players, to my knowledge, there has not yet been (in recent history) any official timekeeper of the NBA at large.Tissot's relationship with the NBA is rather massive. In addition to Tissot-brand timers and game and shot clocks, Tissot will have the right to produce Tissot timepieces with any of the NBA team logos on it, as well as clocks, and other accessories. So you can appreciate that while some people might not want NBA-branded timepieces, the Tissot/NB
Thinking of getting an AP royal oak
I am thinking of getting my first AP, the royal oak 15400 in either blue or black. What are the pros and cons of getting an AP on the grey market or off websites like chrono24/ebay? I would appreciate any advice.
For various reasons
I put my airwolf on. I haven't taken it off yet. Starting to think that breitling might be a good brand for me. At the moment, loving it. Thinking.....
Keep PAM 557 or swap it for PAM 346
Thinking that all I have is an itch ; and all I need to do is to let it take its course and do nothing. Or maybe I am up to something. Doesn't matter , is fun to hear out opinions and things that never crossed my mind. It matters to me things like resale , coolness , scarcity , etc Also I also had the idea that Luminor with the crown guard is the staple of Panerai ; but it also true that the original Panerai is the Radiomir This Radiomir brings a power reserve in the back, date and seconds that my 557 doesn't . But the 47 case and the Vintage allure of the 557 has its magic as well. Kind of a catch 22 Shot !
