Imperfections in 5711
Hello to everyone. I'm new in the forum and perhaps this topic has been already discussed here....The thing is that the other day I was looking my new 5711 white in the microscope and I could not fail to notice an small imperfection in the dial. Also the hand looks like it is corroded. The imperfection is the rib just below the Geneva nameThe funny thing is that I was looking at an article here and I see the same imperfection. Maybe it is too much focus on detail but for a watch of this price is annoying....Anyone else?https://professionalwatches/2015...hite-dial.htmlIMG_7197.jpgSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Discounts from Patek ADs
Gents,I'm a (relatively) new addition to this forum, and I've loved seeing the discussions. I'm curious to see if Patek ADs offer discounts and, if so, how much?I'll qualify by saying that I know/ understand the typical issues, how long the AD had a piece in stock, type of piece etc...I'm specifically asking about the 5130r, 5712a, 5164a and 5167. These are relatively high demand pieces. So I'm curious if a discount can be obtained. Thanks for the help
Brexit day pick up!!!
So, a few months back you might remember I bought a 5711 Nautilus... .rolexforums/showthread.php?t=455077I absolutely loved that watch but ultimately I ended up giving it to my Dad for being a good bloke. This left me happy to have been able to do that for him but sadly it left me with a Patek-shaped hole in my soul that I really wanted to fix. I decided there was only one watch to replace a blue dial 5711 Nautilus and so put myself down on lists with dealers I have good contacts with and although I was confident I would get one before the end of 2016, I was equally confident that I'd get hit by either a Brexit or regular currency related price increase before I succeeded. When I woke this morning and Mrs C told me we were oooooot, after a few minutes thought dedicated to the more important things in life, I thought... well that's going to be my Patek costing even more then. However (!!!) after 20 minutes at work I got a call from one of my contacts who was delighted to tell me my watch
Nice little gift arrived in the post from my AD last week...

So you own a Daytona
Given the popularity of the Rolex Daytona, I'm curious as to how you came about owning this watch. For example: were you on an AD's waiting list for this watch? Did you have a customer relationship with the AD? How long did you have to wait until you were able to purchase the watch given that the AD did not have one in stock? Did you purchase the watch from a gray market at premium price? Was this your first Rolex watch? Thank you, in advance, for your input. I'm on a waiting list at my local AD and have purchased four Rolex watches and a Breitling watch from this AD in the past two years. I've been on their waiting list since last July.
