What Happened At The First Apple Watch WatchKit OS Hackathon
November 18th 2014 marked the release of Apple's WatchKit in preparation for their Apple Watch smart watch scheduled to launch in Spring 2015. The WatchKit is a resource for software application developers to begin creating apps specially made for the Apple watch. This was an exciting event because it not only gave the community more information about the upcoming Apple Watch product, but heralded a new era of creativity where developers will leverage the unique qualities of a wearable Apple device in considering the best ways to create exciting apps that may help transform where the wearable market is going. watches-dealer was there to check it out.In anticipation of the WatchKit's release, Ben Morrow, an ambitious entrepreneur of Silicon Valley, hosted the world's first Apple WatchKit OS Hackathon. For those unfamiliar, a Hackathon is an event which gathers programmers, project managers, and graphic designers to collaborate and develop projects for new software and upcoming products.

I had a local guy that serviced all of my vintage watches but he has gone out of business. Can anybody recommend somebody to service my treasured 105-012-66 Speedy?

How best to shop for a pre-owned 5127J?
I'm shopping for a pre-owned 5127J, and I'm looking for thoughts on where to shop and who I can trust.I've found online listings on Chrono24 and other high profile sites, but I don't have a high level of comfort with some of the sellers. I don't know if I can trust the descriptions, etc.--and I don't want to play buy-it-return-it games. I've also kept an eye out in the For Sale section on this site.I'm in the mid-Atlantic on the east coast, so I think there'd be options to find a good seller/dealer and conduct the sale face-to-face, but I don't know where to start. I did see one listed with Tarrytown Jewelers in New York. Are they reputable?Any suggestions on how else I can expand my search?Thank you.Cheers,LS

Hey all,I have recently been looking into the aquanaut.the retail price is manageable but I was curious if ADs discount patek sport models at all? I have purchased many watches from my AD so I have a good standing relationship with them but wasnt sure if asking for a discount on a patek sport model is laughable?? Secondly, how durable of a time piece is this? I like to hunt, fish and kayak along with other outdoor activities. Should you baby this piece or is it intended to take some abuse. Am I better off just getting an expii 42mm??
