Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Cabinet de Curiosits Limited Edition Watch
Did you really like (and want) the special piece unique watch that Girard-Perregaux had auctioned at the 2011 Only Watch Auction? If so (and you weren't that one person to get it), then you sort of have another chance. Aside from the smoked sapphire crystal dial, this limited edition of just five pieces Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Cabinet de Curiosits watch has the same cool style with the white ceramic and titanium case. This is essentially the white version of the ww.tc Shadow watch that is part of their regular production right now. They do ceramic cases very well.I wonder what this would look like on a while strap? How about a black and white striped NATO strap.interesting thoughts. Limited to just five pieces, this watch is part of a unique series of relationships. The ww.tc Cabinet de Curiosities will be available exclusively at a concept store called Browns in London. My first AP just got delivered today thanks to the ever so wonderful Addy616 (thanks again Adnan) whom I've now dealt it time and time again; highly recommend him! I give you, my first AP, a watch I've lusted after for a long time, the Royal Oak!And specifically the 15400ST Silver dial Thank you all for all the posts/conversations on this AP subforum, I've learnt so much reading and researching!
SM300 - Memorial Day Tribute
I'd like to take the time and post a thread tributing the late LTC George A Finter.I do not know, nor have I ever known the Colonel. What I can tell you is that he was killed in action in Vietnam in 1970. I acquired his SM300 through an estate auction last week and it was everything I thought it could have been. The watch had been in storage since his personal effects had been sent home and for the first time in 43 years I cracked open the case back yesterday. I have never seen anything so sterile since I started my little journey a few years back. My original intention was to flip, but after receiving the watch on Friday I began to struggle with that decision. My problem is that I am not a watch collector. I know that this watch is a collectible specimen that would command top price. I know that it deserves to go to someone who would appreciate not just the lineage of the watch and its history, but the immaculate condition that it presents. This is no daily wearer, and the minute it be
New website
Have you guys seen the new PP website. It also now shows the rrp in CHF for each watch (at least on the mobile version).
Nautilus Question
HiFor those that own a 5711 or other bracelet model Nautilus, how does the bracelet actually attach to the watch head?Im thinking aloud here - as the bracelet links obviously can attach to the watch head in some way using pins or screws etc, then why physically couldnt you attach a leather strap to the watch using the same type of fitment???Is it possible? Thanks
