AP watch straps
Hi, I just recently purchased a pre-owned ROO (well girlfriend kinda ended up biting the bullet as a present)[img]imgur/mrG0J33[img]and I find that the strap is WAY too short for me (I am a very big guy), anyone know where I can get either a rubber strap or a new horned back for it?I would also need a longer sized one, any recommendations from vendors that you have dealt with would be lovely! Thanks :)

Finally made the decision to bring the 5711/1R home...Pics do not do it justice but the transformation that takes place with different lighting on this dial is amazing!!
Questions on the 5167
Thanks to all those posting pics of the 5167, I have been thinking about acquiring this beauty for some time. I have recently had the opportunity to borrow one from an acquaintance for a few days (it is extremely kind of him to let me borrow it) and I must admit I love it. The bezel is quite scratched up, so I suspect he is not as 'wrist aware' as I am. I have a few questions :-1. What is the current UK retail price for a 5167 on tropical strap? (Post recent reduction in prices).2. What is the likelihood of getting one with a discount from the UK?3. Does the bezel suffer wear from sleeves rubbing? I know puffy (Anders) found this to be the case and I believe was a reason he sold his, but I wondered what others experiences are? I expect scratches from impacts and I am careful to avoid those, but I have been hesitant up to now going for the 5167 due to concerns about the bezel's resilience to wear from long sleeves on clothes and coats. 4. I have read that when Patek service, it can take
Patek pocket watch - unique dial
While doing a free appraisal event, I came cross this pocket watch - its marked Patek Philippe on the inner case; however, these are the only two shots I could get. So the story goes, the Great-granddad Turner special ordered this for his wife directly from patek. Anyone seen such a unique dial?
Why not have a glide lock clasp on more models?
I just got my wife a Date 34 for her birthday and it has the comfort extension link like I suppose all of the Datejusts. I have a new Submariner with the glide lock clasp and I absolutely love that feature. Especially when Im taking long flights (I get swallen) or during heatwaves. Also when training when abroad, I can strap the watch on the outside of the jacket when I go for runs etc. etc. After getting used to the glide lock clasp, I kind of feel sorry for my wife for only having the comfort extension link which only adds about 5mm in flexibility. It also makes me have reservations about getting a GMT II which Ive wanted since it doesnt have the glide lock clasp.Am I overthinking this or am I not the only one?
