M��hle-Glash��tte M29 Classic Watch
While I've been content (so far) to view the vintage watch world from afar, I do have a soft spot in my heart for watches that draw direct inspiration from an earlier model in a company's history. Just recently, M��hle-Glash��tte introduced a watch in that very vein - the M29 Classic, and I quite like it. More good news is that price is pretty good for a Muhle Glashutte timepiece.Interestingly, they didn't just take inspiration from their own watches. They also delved into their earlier history when Robert M��hle was making precision measurement instruments for the watch industry in Glash��tte. From this part of the back catalog, they settled in on the Model 29 indicator gauge. While this sort of gauge looks simple, readability is of the utmost importance - especially at the tolerances and scale involved. New to API really like ref 26400AU.OO.A002CA.01 - 44mm carbonbut i also like the safari 42mm ref 26470ST.OO.A801CR.01would i be making a mistake going with the 42mm ? i just really like the brown - looks like a great daytime watch to pair with my platona...but, i dont want to regret not going 44mm....helpthanks!

So I was tiring of my Rolex YG 18038 day date. As a young guy it just didn't suit my style and I felt really self conscious wearing it around. I was trying to think of a good trade to do so I could at least put that money towards something special. I went hesitantly down to 47th street today to try on an AP 15300, and brought my Rolex just in case. They had the blue dial version in excellent condition and it was just perfect, so a trade and a little money changed hands and I am now the psyched (still shaking) owner of my first AP.I immediately understood why this design and bracelet are worshipped, and the way it shimmers and shines is incredible. Plus the cherry on top is seeing the movement and carved rotor in the back. Sent from a block of 904L steel

I've been an Omega collector for many years and didn't even know that TRF existed. But in May of 2008, I came over here in my search for a watch to fill the GMT niche in my collection.Lo and behold, I not only found a friendly, helpful group of members over on the Rolex Discussion Group but there was also a few interested in Omegas. So I began to hang out over here and tried to contribute as best I could.Suddenly, I realized that I have gone from zero Rolex to three in as many years with a vintage 6050, a 16710 (M/3186), and a 16600 (also an M).But it has also been interesting to see so many Rolexers have come to appreciate Omegas. New converts seem to pop up almost daily.Psalm 133:1 comes to mind, and to paraphrase, How good and pleasant it is for Omega and Rolex fans to live in harmony.Fr. John?
