Roger Dubuis Hommage Millesime Unique Pocket Watch
So here is something new from Roger Dubuis, and it is not just a very impressive looking pocket watch, but also something that the Swiss luxury watch brand hopes will be a new tradition for them. Known simply as the Roger Dubuis Hommage Millesime pocket watch, this item is a one-of-a-kind creation based on a challenging restoration project of a vintage pocket watch movement. In fact, "millesime" in French simply means "vintage." Roger Dubuis has announced that they will produce one such piece unique "restored vintage" watch each year and that those items will be available for sale exclusively in Roger Dubuis brand boutiques around the world. That sounds like a pretty decent way of getting people in stores, or at least the stores that have these items. Will the second model be called the Roger Dubuis Hommage Millesime 2?This Roger Dubuis Hommage Millesime will reside at the upcoming Roger Dubuis brand boutique in Geneva, scheduled to open in July of 2015. As the first of its kind, the R

Picked up a Navitimer!
Well, after a few months of deliberation - I completely did the unexpected! A little back story here... For a while now, I've been looking at the Rolex Explorer II (42mm) and finally decided it was time to pick it up.I walked into my local AD, and had the Explorer II on my wrist ready to go. Something seemed off to me, it just wasn't sitting right on my wrist. So I waltzed over to the Breitling section, and tried on the Navitimer - and it just felt perfect to me. 24 Hours in, absolutely loving my purchase. This isn't to say I won't pick up a Rolex down the road - but there was something about this watch that I just had to have! What do you guys think?
Need help identifying Omega Ladies DeVille Prestige Quartz Small
Hello all,I'm a PO guy, so I'm never in the market for Omega ladies watches. I have the opportunity to purchase a pre-owned Omega DeVille Prestige Quartz Small watch for a really great price. I'm thinking about giving it to my mother. I am meeting with the seller at a local jeweler to remove the caseback to see if it's the 1456 quartz movement. Again, I am not familiar with these types of watches, so I was hoping that someone could offer some information. I would say that this watch was produced in the 90's. I've attached the Omega watch listing, as well as pictures from the seller.Questions I have: What markings should I expect to see on this watch (i.e. on caseback, serial numbers?) during this time period? Has this watch ever been produced with bezel & links having just a gold plating/finish? I wouldn't assume so, but I can't tell if some of the gold has tarnished (the pictures are poor). I apologize in advance for my ignorance on ladies watches! Any help is greatly appreciated!
