Ploprof vs. Sub
I recently switched from a date sub to a Ploprof 600. Ever since I havnt been able to release a feeling of remorse (or regret?) .. Will Ploprof grow on me, or will this feeling endure?I know its a deeply personal question, but was the trade bueno/no bueno?
speedy auto
Can someone give me a short explanation of why the Speedmaster automatics seem to have such a lower regard, technically, than the Speedy Pro's? I recognize the historical advantage that the SP's have. Thanks.
5103p
How do you like 5103P? It is a special order watch. The picture comes from internet. I think this is a beautiful watch. I tried to order it before. Ha Ha . I got an answer No. sot-20140610-00081-4-f2-3-image-jpg_2320424.jpg390N09159_7DF48.jpg519N09159_7DF48.jpg366N09159_7DF48.jpg
5196G enabling needed...
Been thinking of upgrading my 15400 to a 15202, and finally put it on the chopping block. But yesterday I started thinking that a 5196G would be a great alternative to the 15202, I know, they are different watches for different purposes, but still.I have been consolidating lately and have only a few watches (you can see in my signature what I have), I am missing a dress watch as you can see.So, I have time to decide while the 15400 sells, but I have always found the hunt to be a big part of the fun.Any comments and especially pics would be greatly appreciated.
111 vs 024
I have a 111 at the moment, but am toying with the idea of trading for a 024 submersible. It's looks so cool on the wrist and I like it more and more the more I see it. I'm wondering if there are any intangibles to consider, such as cost of servicing an ETA hand wind movement vs the Valjoux automatic, accuracy of the movements, ability to collect or hide the dings that show up, etc. The thought of replacing a bezel vs polishing out scratches sounds nice, too (unless I'm off on that). Thanks!
