Incoming - end of an odyssey
For some time, I have had an interest in this watch, but had successfully convinced myself that I could live without it. Nonetheless, on a lark I reached out to a seller and , after some back and forth (and helpful advice from TRF members), the seller and I reached a provisional deal. Unfortunately, that deal didn't end up working out...but by that point reason had gone out the window - I needed to have this watch! what followed was a lot of time hammering around on various forums. I was fortunate to connect with another great seller and we worked together to address the challenges of sending a watch internationally between two private individuals. Good Day All,I am trying to find a watch to go with my AP Volcano, this guy;My daily beater is a PAM 114.I want something for the weekends but I don't mind a bit dressy also, I want this watch to be something real nice that can be keep in the family and pass down, this will be my last watch for a long time if not forever. Omega Speedmaster Date Chronograph
I went to watch store today,and salesman offered me this:Omega Speedmaster Date Chronograph,just like the one on the pics.I don`t know anything about this watch(exept that it is probably a Valjoux 7750 movement inside it),I don`t know it`s age(condition of it is not exactly mint,but quite fair)...And price looks fair enough,around 850$!The thing that bothers me is that this watch obviously don`t have sapphire crystal glass(there are one or two little scratches on it),and salesman claim that production date of it is around year 2000.How can it be?I would apreciate any opinion on this watch and,of course,I would like to know real production date of this model!Please guys,help me with this.

Owners Manual Changes?
Just noticed that my manual for my 5711 is for several different movements where as all my other manuals are specific to the calibre in that particular watch i purchased. Is this new or are all 5711 books like this?Here is both my 5711 and 5712 manuals... as you can see the one on top covers multiple watches and movements and is no longer specific to the Nautilus. Where as the 5712 manual only covers that single movement.
