SIHH 2015 The Return of the Royal Oak 'Two-Tone'
Reporting live from Geneva. As I was expecting the Royal Oak 'Two-Tone' has made its comeback. All details here: .watchcollectinglifestyle....rite-royal-oakI saw this one coming and now that makes my Jumbo 5402SA more valuable!!!!
Bogdan beat me by a day... and see you all soon.
One of the reasons the heavier ROOs never fit well for me was because the strap fit wasn't right but with the shorter strap the hole configuration works better, its not that I needed the shortest strap just the hole alignment worked. So yeah here is the 44 RG. Just picked it up. I had my issues with the steel model but giving it another run with RG. Literally just took this out of the box, didn't even get back to my car before wanting to take a snap. Going to travel with this for a month and with the carbon. I still love my carbon to death.I'll be staying away from the forums for a while. Aside from having to be real busy for work, going to do a massive re-org to the collection, looking at all these threads is distracting.Ill be back in a month or two with a little something special ;)Keep that daily pic thread going! Happy watch hunting all!Sent from my Galaxy s3.
Speedy 60:th checked in! Some more pictures...
At the moment its resting in the box. But snapped a few pics before I tucked it down.
175th Anniversary Collection Book
Got a call this morning from my Patek AD to come and pick up my copy of the new anniversary collection book. It's quite a substantial hardback. Looking forward to having a good read this Sunday. :)
Normal?? My GMT-Master II currently running ten days behind!
I must admint... I hate adjusting the date on both Pepsi and BLNR after a few days of not wearing them. The thought of rotating the hour hand two full rotations to advance the date by 1 day, and then to repeat this over and over to catch up to say 10 days later... I feel like I am doing this to the watch and putting extra wear and tear by fast forwarding the hour hand that normally forwards slowly. Yesterday I picked up 16710 to wear it and the date said '2'. I thought meh.... close enough to 12! and just set the time and wound it a bit and put it on.So technical watchmakers and professional watch rotators of experience: what say you? Should I be worried about clicking forward many days in one shot, done perhaps two - three times a month? Or should I just ignore the date and refer to my iphone for that info???
