Ball Engineer Master II Slide Chronograph Watch, Slipping To The Future
When I first read about the new Ball Engineer Master II Slide Chronograph, I for some reason had the refrain of "Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slippinginto the future" pop into my head. Is this new Ball the future of chronographs? Well, time will tell. For now, though, it definitely is an intriguing iteration. If you were only to look at the dial of the new Ball Engineer Master II Slide Chronograph, you would have no problem identifying it as a chronograph: it has a traditional "tri-compax" layout with the 30-minute register up top, running seconds at 9, 12-hour register at the bottom, and a tachymeter scale around the outside. When you look to the side of the almost 48?mm case and see no pushers surrounding the crownthen you begin to question your assumptions.Slide In Its Neutral PositionOf course, a brand like Ball is not going to play games to give the appearance of a chronograph while actually tucking other functionality in;?so, how do you engage the chronograph? Storing watch with crown pulled out
If watches are displayed in stores and or transported with the crown pulled out, should you not store your own watches in the same manner ?What is the real reason for pulling out the crown ?

I am thinking about trading my DSSD V series for a Patek 5035J plus $14k.Is this a good trade or anyone think I can get a better deal ? Would you trade if you were me?
5960/1a on a strap. PICTURES
Was grabbing lunch in boston so decided just to swing into one of my favorite places, European Watch Co on newbury just to browse and say hi. They always have a great selection and are all passionate watch guys. I was telling them how I wanted to get a strap on my 5960 and next thing you know I purchased a grey Patek croc. Here is a teaser pic. Make sure you make a point to stop in Euro Watch Co if you are around boston. More to come.
Patek 5035 or 6000 ?
I am contemplating my first patek and have narrowed it down to the 5035 & 6000. What would you choose based on movement 315 vs, 240, which is better? The 5035 is a discontinued model and the Calatrava 6000 is current.Do you thing the 6000 dial is too busy with all the numbers ? I wear mostly 40mm watches and feel patek's smaller size of 37 & 38mm may be a little small, my wrist size is a 7. I plan to wear this mostly with casual wear & jeans, I think they both can be dressed up or down but feel free to chime in. Thoughts ?
