TAG Heuer CEO Jean-Claude Biver: Our Exclusive Baselworld Q&A
Jean-Claude Biver has been quick to action as the new CEO at TAG Heuer C restructuring the brand, introducing new Carrera models, announcing an exceptionally economical tourbillon watch, and soon, the brand’s own smartwatch. Learn more in this exclusive interview conducted at Baselworld by Rdiger Bucher, editor-in-chief of WatchTime’s German sister magazine, Chronos.RB: Mr. Biver, what is your strategy for TAG Heuer?JCB: The strategy remains the same. Only a certain amount of creativity and development has been shifted from the upper segment to our core business area. We’re making a shift by redistributing our forces.RB: Where does TAG Heuer have its core business?JCB: In the price range between 2,000 and 5,000 Swiss francs. We’ve invested the most in this price range. Let me show you something. (He shows me the new Carrera Calibre Heuer 01.)RB: Will this be the new look for the Carrera?JCB: Yes. This is the look of the future. All the Carreras will eventually

Hey guys- just looking to see if any of you have put the 41mm rose gold chono that comes on strap and actually put a rubber strap on it? Any pics. I still can't decide if I am doing black dial or white/silver dial. Def going to be on strap but just don't know which one. n

PO is a tough nut to crack/size!
PO is a hard watch to resize! Guys I have sized cheaper watches with link pins easily but this PO is so tight I can only manage to get the pin half way out and its stuck. There is no way I can pull or push the pin which was already half way out further out, tried it on two links and its the same.Any tricks to it? I am better of getting it done at a jeweler shop I reckon.
Another Patek sports watch?
Hi all,I could use some help from some fellow Patek lovers...I've got two Nautilus models that I love. The classic 5711 blue and the 5726 White dial. One thin, one a bit thicker, one more elegant, and one a bit more sporty. A few months back I placed a deposit on a 5167 Aquanaut. The Aquanaut is suppose to arrive in a about a month. In the meanwhile, I received two intriguing offers from two AD's that I am close with. A 5980 Blue dial and a 5990. This has thrown a wrench in my plans as I've always been somewhat smitten by the 5980 but felt two blue nautilus watches would be a bit too much.My original plan was to have two nautilus models - one white, one blue. And to supplement those with the 5167 - the ultimate versatile Patek. But now the 5980 and 5990 have entered the picture and I'm not so sure about the aquanaut anymore. I've only tried on the 5167 once, a few months back, and that was on a bracelet (which I didn't love), so essentially I'm buying it on the strap unseen.
