Buying first Omega, advice needed
I am about to buy my first preowned Omega Seamaster 2264. It is a 1995 model, and I will be paying $900 US for it. Is this a good deal for this watch? Is there anything I should be watching out for when inspecting the watch? Thanks for your time!
Omega Speedmaster Question
I sent my watch out to the Omega repair facility in Secaucus,NJ. I was quoted a price of $ 2000 for a complete resoration. The band was $700 plus by itself. Is anyone aware of anyone who has the capacity to repair and restore other than a Omega facility?? Or should I just buy a new one??They stated they would be replacing the following: 1 The luminous material on the hands is flaking 2 The hands are damaged 3 Movement shows sins of water damage 4 One or more of the pushers are damaged and detached 5 One or more of the perminate links in the bracelet are missing. and must be replaced 6 Clasp is damaged 7 Movement is rusted

And I suppose to cut the supply to the secondary market.... I suppose it seems like a reasonable idea... Right?Well, I'd I'm say not to totally happy with this new process actually!!!!The upshot of having got to the point of being considered was to be told infact that rolex said I couldn't have one!!!!The reason - was that last year I purchased a black dial Daytona, (from a completely different AD), and allegedly ; it is new policy to help with waiting lists, that only one may be purchasedThis is true, and my AD didn't know.... So rolex had indeed passed on this information from their investigation of
