Pairs Well With: Seagull 1963
Special thanks to?Z. D. Smith for putting together this edition of Pairs Well WithWhat makes the Seagull such an effective and pleasant watch is its understatement; it has got both military styling and a high-quality mechanical movement, but the details are subtle and neither the functionality nor the worksmanship jump out at you. In other words, it’s got a little class. At the same time, it’s a rugged, unpretentious watch and with its throwback looks and olive NATO band, it goes best with an outfit that communicates comfort and ruggedness. So the theme of the day is a union of understated, high quality with military and/or throwback styling.Seagull 1963Sunny Sports “1940’s Railroad” Organic Cotton Japanese Selvedge Chambray Work Shirt in Sumi ?Sunny Sports is at the very high end of Japanese heritage workwear. Since I wasn't able to get a Silver snoopy (I had a deposit on one but no go) I decided on this instead (and I think I like it better!)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Duck For Cover ... PANDA INCOMING!!!
This story starts from the time i got my Alpha PN watch. It was panda dial with acrylic dome crystal. Just a lovely watch ... only problem it did not last too long in my watch box because the watch had no date. This was the turning point in my life that i realized i will never be a Daytona owner for exactly the same reason ... it had no date. And so my search for perfect Chono Date watch had begun. After many long hours of searching and looking my choices were reduced to two watches.Tudor Tiger - panda dialandOmega 3210.50After some more time of hard thinking i decided to skip Tudor and go with Omega 3210.50. I placed my order with prestigetime for 3210.50 when i came across Omega Panda 323.30.40.40.04.001. Instantly i was hooked on this Panda beauty which reminded me about the Alpha PN i once had only Omega had a date. After sleepless night and much of deliberation on my part i called up prestigetime and told them to cancel my order 3210.50 and instead ship me 323.30.40.40.04.001 and s

First time I got my two babies together and I notice something I have never seen mentioned on the forum. This is interesting in the PCL debate. The GMT 2 bracelet has polished sides whereas the sub has brushed. Hard to photo?Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Just a Price Increase Question
Not looking for crystal ball jokes, just wondering. Historically speaking, what time of year has the price increase become effective in the past, is the typical price increase the same across all models, if so what is then average increase?I just spoke with a local dealer and as of now the prices are the same.Does that mean there’s no price increase in 2018? Or would it happen after Basel World? Could it happen randomly anytime?I know the above three questions are more or less speculative but Historically speaking, what has the trend been?I.e. in Apr 2010 prices increased 10%, in Jan 2014 prices increased 15%, etc.Looking for facts. Opinions are welcome, but if it’s an opinion just state it as such. Thanks!
