New Tiffany Watch Collection Pays Tribute to the “New York Minute” (Updated with Live Photos)
Jewelery giant Tiffany & Co. has been fairly quiet in the men’s watch arena in recent years but returned in a big way last week, announcing the launch of a brand-new watch collection called Tiffany CT60, with designs inspired by a particularly notable historical timepiece, namely the gold Tiffany watch given to President Franklin D. Roosevelt by company founder Charles Lewis Tiffany. As many who know the brand more as a purveyor of ladies’ jewelry might be unaware, Tiffany & Co. has actually been a player in the timekeeping game for a long time. Charles Tiffany unveiled the iconic nine-foot Atlas clock, which today stands above the entrance of the flagship Tiffany store on New York’s Fifth Avenue, in 1853. The city’s residents used the huge public clock to keep their busy lives on time, including using it as a reference timekeeper with which to set their watches, and the Tiffany clock became a concrete reminder of the concept of the “New York Minute

Gravity attracts the escapement components, that do not work in exactly in the same way in the direction in which they are drawn. The friction between the various components is also different and the amplitude of the balance may be affected, causing to win or lose. The best position for a breakaway is the horizontal position that ensures the best amplitude for the balance and gravity is perpendicular to the components and is therefore not disturb their rotation. "And how it works, exactly? This perfect coordination is achieved in a very elegant manner by patented 0 g of the ZENITH system. In this system, a gear harness the rotation of the axes of transport system and a gear of differential shift compensates for instantly of all the relative movements of the various elements.
Any real life shots of the new PO 8500?
I have been dying to see some real life shots of this watch besides the pictures on Omega's website, etc.I was interested in purchasing one of these since September, but the dealer I am trying to get the watch from said they woudn't be in stock until the end of October - never happened. Then he said the end of November, - again never happened. So with that said, I am starting to get a little antsy and I am wondering if anyone has som real life pictures.
Awesome!
I let get away a few years ago comes home brand new 1 day old thanks to my friend George M from Govberg in Philadelphia. I always regretted letting this one go and finally decided it was time to get her back! In fact I also had an AP RG RC years ago and also let it go and regretted it so yesterday I got her back as well. So--back to back RG returns and both truly special to me!
reliability of 324 and 240 movements
Hi guys,I hear often that 324 is a very reliable movement. I am just curious, has anyone here owned a Patek with 324 movement for more than 5 years without any service? How about caliber 240? Anyone had 240 movement watch fro more than 5 years without service? I hear often the stories from Rolex owners that their watch goes for 10-15 years without any service. Would be nice to hear similar stories about Patek. Here is my 5127 next to the 5227 brothers at the Patek Salon in Geneva. Enjoy!
