Bring a Loupe: A Girard-Perregaux Olimpico With Full Set, Some Killer Enicar Chronographs, And A Few
This Bring A Loupe focuses on vintage watches that fly under the radar for a lot of collectors, but that are really worth looking at. This week you will not find any Universal Geneve, Heuer, Rolex or Patek; but keep reading. You will indeed discover a rarely seen Girard-Perregaux Olimpico, a couple of Enicars, and maybe the most Seventies chronograph ever made, from Revue. The purpose of this unusual selection is twofold: to introduce you to little-known yet really attractive vintage watches, and also provide you with some Christmas suggestions at interesting price points. This is your Bring A Loupe for December 18, 2015. A Girard-Perregaux Olimpico Reference 9075, Simply A Very Cool Chronograph 1 OF 10 For me, this was the most exciting find of the week. I had previously seen the Girard-Perregaux Olimpico on the wrists of collectors, but I was not expecting to see one example suddenly pop up on eBay – especially not in such a good condition, with the o
Speedy tuesday and 60th anniversary editions value
I have reserved one of each, but since I already have a FOIS when the time comes I will only buy one, if any. I had thought about just passing on them, but looking at the prices for the Apollo 13 45th anniversary snoopy edition... I wonder if it might be wise to buy them and flip them BNIB?The snoopy edition I've seen offered for almost triple the MSRP, so there might be an opportunity here to put some cash in the watch fund. Feedback appreciated.

I know the watch is the same as the 3570.50 but I would love to see some pics anyway...oh and some nice forum shots of the case back as well. Who's got one?? 3574.51 right?lpoirier on TZ found this for me....Lot 233 of Omegamania 2007 sold example number #1. Jan 21, 2012 - 03:44 PM Their caption read: Ref. SU 345.0226 was made in a limited edition of 3000 examples in 2002 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Apollo XVII mission. This was NASA's sixth and last manned lunar landing mission of the 20th century, and marked the end of the Apollo space program. The emblem depicts the god Apollo and the American eagle with three stars representing the three members of the Apollo XVII team: Commander Eugene A. Cernan, Command Module Pilot Ronald E. Evans, and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison H. Schmitt. I found this on the web...but would LOVE to see REA
Vintage Constellation?
Hi, guys. I've recently taken quite a shine to the 1950s-60s era Omegas. The size - 34mm or so - seems quite nice for modern-day wear on a smaller wrist. I've wanted a vintage watch for a long time and had been looking at Rolex Datejusts and Dates, but the vintage Omegas have such a neat look and can be had for considerably less than Rolex. At least, so it seems. Is it crazy to be especially intrigued with the Constellation because it has the cool observatory image on the back of the case? I just love that look. Even though it wouldn't show when being worn, it is such an elegant touch.I'm trying to learn more about these vintage pieces. Can anybody tell me more about them, pros and cons, and post pics if you have them? Any and all vintage Omegas - by all means share your knowledge!Thank you!PS - just found Desmond's blog. What a tremendous resource!
